SHADOWS

PROLOGUE

It has been three years since the events that took place on the rooftop of St. Bartholomew's hospital. Three years since he 'died', and in those three years brought around change, quite a lot of change actually. John Watson left 221B. He had to, too many memories, and he married Mary Morstan and both are happy together. Greg Lestrade went through a divorce due to his marriage falling apart, and Molly Hooper has left her job in St. Bart's to go on to better things. A Northern Irish woman named Emma McNeill took up the place she had left.

Emma moved all the way from Belfast for that job, she couldn't stand it anymore. She it was generally lonely and worked in a small medical clinic in Belfast, and before that she went to university in Dublin. She hated her life there, too many bad memories. Her closest friends were her colleagues at work, and they weren't really friends, only the occasional laugh was shared amongst them.

Emma's generally a quiet person before you really get to know her, if you do get to know her she's a very outgoing person. She's petite (barely reaching five foot.) with long chestnut hair fashioned modernly with a side fringe, with clear ivory skin and sea blue eyes and is occasionally seen with a pair of glasses. At first glance she looks like a very normal person, with a normal life, but looks can deceive.

Emma finally got where she wanted to b. London. The farthest she could possible get from anyone who knew her. She was relieved of the change that her life in the large city brought. She loved it. She always wanted to live in a big city, ever since she was a little girl. She hated the country side she lived in, she had no neighbours and friends there, and went she started school, she was often bullied because of her height and this resulted in her having no friends. She was lonely for most of her life.

On moving to London, Emma found a flat that had rent that she was able to pay and was near to St. Barts, 221B Baker Street. Her new found friend, John Watson (Who now worked in the A&E department in .) had previously lived there, and he had recommended it to her. She liked the look of the flat, and changed very little, only moving a electric keyboard in and some pictures in frames, she even kept the creepy smiley face on the wall.

Emma had also became friendly with Greg Lestrade, who often came to the morgue when on murder cases.

But out of all the people she had met, her favorite out of them all was Mrs. Hudson. Emma loved her, she reminded her so much of her grandmother, who passed on recently.

Emma got home from at tiresome day at work. Ate a small meal consisting of left over homemade soup and some bread, she got into pair of shorts and a vest top she used as pajamas, and hit the hay. As soon as her head hit the pillow she was fast asleep, but little did she know of the encounter she will make very early the next morning.

I'm sorry if I made any grammatical or spelling mistakes.
