I Have Always Been Here
Human minds are often as simple as a child.
They are young compared to me.
Not ready to comprehend what I am.
Yet they still try to understand me.
They don't even understand themselves.
When they are ready
I might give them a clue.
But until then, I must just watch.
Like a father watches his children.
Their lives are but a flash of lightning
compared to mine.
And still I watch.
I watch them come and go,
their questions of me going unanswered.
But in their minds, I do see hope.
Hope that someday, they will
mature and take the place of
all First Ones.
But until that day,
I will be here.
Just as I have always been hereā¦
