Just a little oneshot for my oneshot challenge. :) And I have no clue if there were glasses in Mulan's time period, so don't kill me.

Disclaimer: I don't own the greatest princess there ever was. (Hint, Hint. She's my favorite.)

Glasses

Challenge #2

"I can't believe I need glasses, Mushu." Mulan whined as she came out of the store with her glasses in one hand.

"Well maybe they were lying, or something," Mushu said to her from his spot on her shoulder, "what does that sign say, over there?" He pointed at a shop name above a bakery. The house of bread

Mulan squinted her eyes and read carefully.

"It says...Of mose...and..said."

"Close, but no. The House of Bread." Mushu said in a light tone, he didn't want Mulan to be down.

"Ugh, Mushu. Let's face it, I can't read without these glasses." She said it with distaste as she glared at the glasses in her hand in front of her, smudging the glass with her fingers.

"Aww, well that's no reason to make the glasses feel bad." Mushu said, not skipping a beat. He leaned down and plucked the glass right out of her hand, spitting on the lenses and rubbing it clean with his arm. "There," he said, putting it over her eyes, "You don't look so bad...without them."

"Thanks, Mushu." Mulan said sarcastically while throwing a glare to her shoulder at him.

"Aw, I'm just kidding. It gives your face character," Mushu told her, but she wasn't buying it. "Hey, look at me, there are plenty of little kids who look up to you who wear glasses. Those kids are going to think that you are even more awesome with glasses."

"Thanks, Mushu." Mulan said gratefully, "Let's go get something to eat at The House of Bread, now that I can see the sign."

Odd and very short, and I hope I kept them in character, I've seen the movie more than a hundred times. :)
