Hello Fanficiton land! I've decided to revise some of my stories after looking over them one day and having a VERY long talk with my sixteen year old self on the concept of grammar. Anyway here is the revised version of Family Ties and I do not own anything to do with Dragonball Z other then my character Nia and the saiyan queen.
"GOKU DINN-" Chi chi was suddenly cut off by husband who literally flew to the kitchen table for dinner.
Their one year old son Gohan giggled as he watched his father inhale everything in front of him. Even though he's only been alive for a year baby Gohan learned pretty quick that you keep your arms and legs far away from his daddy's mouth at all times while he's eating. The infant wasn't far behind however seeing as how he was on his third helping of dinner.
'This is why we can't have nice things' the ox princess thought to herself as she watched her husband consume his meal.
"Goku, I swear one of these days you are going to wind up eating your own hand if you keep eating like that," Chi Chi lightly scolded her husband with a chuckle.
"I can't help it, your food is so good! I just wanna eat as much as I can before I get full," the warrior replied innocently.
"Sadly, I think that's the most romantic thing you've ever said to me," the woman joked as she ate her dinner.
"I say romantic things to you all the time," Goku said defending himself.
"Oh really? Name one romantic thing you've said to me since we've been married," Chi Chi said crossing her arms.
"Uhh…..I love you?" Goku replied unsure with a big grin on his face making his wife laugh.
"Alright, I'll take it," she giggled as she stood up with her empty plate.
She placed her dishes in the sink before looking over her shoulder at her husband and son eating like it was their last meal. She chuckled to herself before she walked over to her husband and tilted his chin up so that he was facing her.
"I love you to ya big oaf," Chi Chi said before she leaned in and kissed her husband gently on the lips.
She loved when they had surprise kisses, it always made her feel special when she would feel her husband smile against her lips before kissing her back. Suddenly a loud boom was heard and the Sons' tiny home shook violently. The couple were on their feet in an instant, Chi Chi ripped Gohan out of his highchair and covered him with her body before Goku covered them both with his.
It was a few minutes before the shaking stopped and the house remained silent except for the terrified cries of the infant. Goku slowly pulled away slightly to check over his wife and son to make sure they were unharmed.
"Are you guys alright?" the warrior asked his wife who was still shaking while their son cried.
"Y-ya just surprised," the ox princess replied.
He sighed in relief before going to the window to see if he could notice anything outside but it was too dark to make anything out.
"Goku, what the heck was that?" Chi Chi asked her husband nervously.
"I dunno but I'm going to go check it out," Goku replied before grabbing a flashlight and headed for the door with his wife not far behind.
The warrior had his hand on the door before turning to his wife and said, "Stay here, I won't be long I promise."
"Be careful," she replied in concern.
Goku nodded before flying out the door and into the night to find whatever it was that made that large boom.
…
After about an hour of searching for the strange object Goku finally found what he was looking for although it was not quite what he expected. It appeared to be a space ship that was way too advanced to be anything that Capsule Corp could have made. A strange noise in the bushes near the ship got Goku's attention and the warrior was immediately in defense.
"Alright, whoever is back there come on out! I won't hurt you as long as you don't attack me first," Goku called.
A painful groan was the only reply he received and cautiously the warrior approached the bush and was in shock at what he found.
Behind the shrubbery near the ship laid a woman with wavy, dark brown hair and deep blue eyes. In her arms lay a new born baby wrapped in the woman's silk shawl, the infant couldn't have been more than a few hours old. It was hard to see with the dim flashlight but Goku could still tell that the woman didn't have long to live judging by the heavy blood loss she had suffered.
"Nia" the woman said suddenly breaking the tense silence and Goku stared at her in confusion.
"My daughter's name is Nia….she is a saiyan like you," the woman explained in a weak voice.
"I don't understand, what's a saiyan?" Goku asked confused.
"It's alright if you don't understand right now…I trust you with her life and I am confident you will raise her well," she said with a kind smile.
The woman then turned her attention to her baby and kissed the top of her head gently before putting a gold locket around the girl's neck and handed her to Goku.
"I love you Nia…be a good girl," the woman said before closing her eyes and shortly after stopped breathing.
Goku was stunned by what just happened, one minute he thought Earth was under attack and the next he found himself with a baby who was a clue to his past. The little girl's cries brought him back from his thoughts and he quickly began to comfort the child.
"Shh it ok Nia, I've got you little baby," Goku cooed and smiled as the baby's cries slowly stopped.
'That's my good girl, you know you're safe with daddy' the warrior thought to himself as he quickly fell in love with the tiny child in his arms.
Goku quickly made a small energy beam to cut Nia's umbilical cord severing her from her mother before he carefully placed the child in his gi to keep her warm as they went home.
Chi Chi had just put Gohan to sleep when she heard her husband come home and quickly went downstairs to greet him. She was surprised to say the least to see her husband holding a baby that wasn't theirs before he explained everything that had happened.
"Goku how are we going to raise another child in this house? We're barely making ends meet as it is," Chi Chi explained hating to have to be the voice of reason in the situation.
"We can make it work honey. There's a couple fighting competitions coming up so I can make some money off of that, I'll build an extension when she gets a bit older so she and Gohan could share a room for now…besides you keep saying you'd someday like us to have a daughter," Goku pleaded sounding like a kid trying to keep a dog that followed him home.
"Someday Goku not today," Chi Chi said crossing her arms.
"Come on Chi Chi….you gonna say no to this face," he said holding up the baby so his wife could see her and made a pouty puppy face.
"I hate when you do that," she mumbled but Goku kept on pouting and added whimpering for good effect.
"And I hate when you do that," she added trying to sound mad.
After a few moments of silence and a heavy sigh Chi chi took the child from Goku. She smiled down at the newborn already in love with her.
"What's her name?" Chi Chi asked.
"Nia," Goku replied with a smile.
"Welcome home Nia," the ox princess said before kissing the little girl's head.
As his wife tended to the newborn to make sure she was in no immediate danger, Goku went back out into the night to tend to Nia's mother's body. He knew of a place that would be perfect to bury the woman and respectfully laid her to rest. Before he left he said a prayer for the woman's soul and thanked her for giving them her daughter.
Alright that's all for now! Please review and tell me what you think I love hearing from people :)
