Regina sat in the make-up trailer wondering why the hell she had signed up to this, it was stupid and something she had told herself she would never lower to, yet here she was, sat having her makeup lightly applied by a woman covered in heavy fake tan. She shuffled a little bit in her seat and adjusted the curtain at the window peering out and seeing the old building they would be exploring and staying in the next few hours.

She'd seen the show on television and had always thought it was ridiculously silly, her eleven-year-old niece had once begged her to watch it with her and the girl hid behind a cushion the entire time scared out of her wits. Regina didn't find it scary, she found it pathetic, it was a hoax, of course it was, ghosts didn't exist. Everyone knew that the program was staged and that the crew were the ones making the noises and apparitions in order to scare the gullible celebrities. She wasn't going to be one of them, not a chance.

A few moments later someone poked their head inside the trailer and told her that she was needed outside as they were preparing for going into the castle and needed to be briefed upon varies safety protocols. Regina stood from her chair, checking her appearance in the mirror before nodding at her make-up artist, "good job," she smiled, "I need to at least look good if I am to make a fool out of myself on the television."

"Very true," the woman agreed as they both headed out of the dressing room and walked over to where the rest of the cast were grouped outside the main entrance to the castle. Regina was glad that she happened to be on an episode where they were only exploring a castle because she had to admit that the ones she had seen where they explored old asylums were absolutely bloody terrifying, not because she believed in ghosts, but because asylums were just freaky in general.

Once she was situated and everyone was stood around, a rather short dark-haired man with a clipboard stepped forward, "okay celebrities, we're going to go inside, but I want you to remember that you are not to make any unnecessary noise or interfere with the investigation in any way," the producer stated.

Regina rolled her eyes, she was pretty sure that was the whole point of the show, any time she had seen it the whole show was built on celebrities bumping into things and making complete fools out of themselves. She saw Locksley grinning at her from where he was stood beside the presenter of the show, she just knew he was going to get on her nerves, could feel it deep inside that she would be driven crazy by his annoying behaviour before they finished the stupid show.

"Isaac, safety precautions…" a red headed woman with glasses tried.

"I was getting to that part," he snapped at the woman. "As for safety precautions, watch where you are going, this is a museum as well as castle, so there will be items around, please watch out for these as most are priceless artefacts, any breakages would be catastrophic. For the night we have free reign of the castle, but as for now we will remain together, later on we will split into pairs. The most important thing you need to remember is to never be alone, make sure you have someone with you at all times. Right, I think that's just about it."

The red head he had just cut off narrowed her eyes at him before removing her glasses and placing some contacts in her icy blue eyes. Regina watched her curiously, she seemed to almost loath the producer, but she was probably tired of him bossing her around and interrupting her. "Hi cast," she stated, "I'm…"

"Zelena West," a brunette stood beside Robin Locksley pointed out, causing Regina to scoff inwardly, everyone knew who she was and she certainly didn't need telling who she was by some minor list celebrity that Regina had never heard of. To be honest most of the other celebrities, a term she used loosely in this situation, were either from reality TV shows or wanting to boost their careers.

Robin Locksley was still a pretty big name though, he had some good songs and she had to admit he was pretty talented at what he did. Then there was Cruella, a Real Housewife from one of those reality shows where all they did was argue and spend money. Mallory Evans a scandalised fashion editor, she had been outed for having done many less than legal things but got away with it because there was no evidence. Finally, there was the random unknown brunette and the eccentric Jefferson Hatter, he was pretty great actually, someone she could see herself getting along with, he was stood next to Mallory as they talked.

"Yes, Zelena West, so I'll give you five minutes to get acquainted before we go inside. I need a drink," she waved off before disappearing into a trailer, leaving the six celebrities alone with one another.

"Regina Mills!" the brunette gasped as she moved from next to Robin, "I actually cannot believe I am going to be on a show with Regina Mills! The big-time actress!"

Regina smiled awkwardly, growing up she had been in television and had continued with that into her adulthood, landing main roles left right and centre before being given a movie role in LA. She had taken the role but hadn't really enjoyed the whole Hollywood experience, so although the movie had been a roaring success, she decided to revert back to what she did best, television dramas of all genres. "I wouldn't say I was a big-time actress," she cringed.

"Oh, I would, your career has been amazing, I wish I could achieve nearly half the fame you have."

"Thank you dear," she faked a smile.

"How rude of me not introducing myself, Marian French."

"Nice to meet you," Regina nodded before glancing at Robin and rolling her eyes, "Locksley."

"Mills, nice to see you again."

"Is it?" she scoffed before walking off towards Jefferson and Mallory, Cruella taking up the spot she had been in, "hello."

"Are you regretting coming on this show as much as we are?" the blonde asked with a chuckled as she took a sip from her flask.

"Depends how much you are regretting it because I feel as though I could be regretting it a little more than you," Regina laughed.

"Forgive me for asking, but why does someone like you have to come on a program like this anyway? It's not as though you're short for work. I mean you probably had to squeeze this into your busy schedule," Jefferson quipped.

"Trust me I do not need to be here, however my niece thought it would be a good idea and I didn't want to disappoint her by saying no so I figured I would just agree to the damn thing," she huffed.

"Well, I for one cannot wait for this thing to be over," Mallory stated with an eye roll. "Do you believe?"

"What in ghosts?"

"No in vampires," Mal said in a completely serious tone before shaking her head, "yes, of course in ghosts."

"I believe in ghosts just as much as I believe in vampires, it's all nonsense as far as I'm concerned."

"I had a paranormal experience once," Jefferson claimed and she turned to look at him with furrowed eyebrows, it was probably just going to be another one of those made up stories. "I went to the bathroom and there was no loo roll, but I was pretty sure there was some in there and that I hadn't used the last of it."

"A ghost that steals loo roll," Regina laughed, "what do you suggest it did with the loo roll?"

"I dunno, but there was something shifty about it."

"Okay then," Mallory chuckled as they heard Zelena calling to them.

"So, I'm going to film the introduction of the show and then we can get to it," she clapped her hands. She moved in front of the camera which was positioned in the perfect way to capture a shot of the castle behind her.

"Hello and welcome to Celebrity Ghost Hunt. Tonight, our six celebrities will be staying overnight in one of the most haunted castles in Britain, a place where the dead are said to roam in abundance. This place is said to be crawling with ghosts, ghosts that have been seen, ghosts that cause physical harm and ghosts that absolutely terrify staff and visitors. Just what have our celebrities got themselves into?" She said in a foreboding voice which made Regina slightly more creeped out than she was before.

"Well, she doesn't half put on a show," Jefferson murmured as Regina nodded in an agreement, she didn't know why she was starting to feel slightly apprehensive, she knew nothing was going to happen, nothing that was real anyway.

"That was great Zelena," the director stated as they cut the recording, "can we get you closer to the main arches to do the segment on the history of the place? Celebrities, if you want to follow on that would be wonderful."

They all followed behind Zelena who stopped underneath a large archway and turned back to the camera, proceeding to tell the viewers a little about the history of the castle, reeling off information meant to scare them. Regina knew that the way they edited it after was key to the scare factor, they usually added low creepy music and darkened the picture slightly, doing whatever they could to make it as scary as they possibly could. The whole show was based on fear and wanting to scare people.

Once she had finished she tucked her hair behind her ears, "so, we'll go inside, we're going to stick together for the time being and then in a little while maybe split up into groups. It seems you've already found your groups," she grinned as she looked at them, "very good, but trust me as the night goes on we will certainly be pushing you out of your comfort zones," she smiled almost wickedly.

They all entered the castle and to be honest it looked more like a museum than a castle, it had one of those donation boxes and a reception desk where the visitors had to queue to get their tickets. Regina chuckled to herself, this wasn't going to be scary at all.

"We will be going to areas that are off limits to the public, so hopefully we will get some interesting reactions from there. We're going to start in St John's tower, which is said to be one of the most haunted points of the castle so let's go."

"How much do you think she gets paid to do this?" Jefferson asked.

"Probably depends on how many hoax sightings she fakes," Mallory chuckled.

Regina laughed along and glanced behind her, seeing Robin talking with Marian as Cruella was hanging back and checking out his ass. She watched the brunette playfully squeeze his arm as she laughed at something he said and he cast her one of his cheeky smiles. What a flirt. She wasn't even that pretty anyway, at least that was what Regina was telling herself in order to feel better about having to watch him openly flirting with another woman. "Who even is she?" Regina asked spitefully.

"Who knows dear, she's a wannabe you most likely," Mallory snarked.

"I think she was on big brother or something, I dunno, people seem to like her."

"Well, I've never even heard of her," Regina huffed.

"Me either sweetie. Don't worry about it, she's a nobody."

"Robin seems to like her."

"Darling, Robin is a straight man with eyes and she's a pretty bit of ass," Jefferson stated before quipping, "and so is he, damn."

"He is rather yummy," Mal agreed.

"I don't know what you two are talking about," Regina huffed, glancing behind her once more and seeing that his perfectly pressed dimples were showing through the light layer of stubble he wore on his jaw. He was pretty gorgeous, not that she was going to tell him that.

They stopped in the tower they were heading to and Regina moved closer to Mal and Jefferson, the both of them wrapping their arms around hers and holding onto her. She shuddered slightly and took a deep breath, so this place was slightly creepy, maybe she had been slightly premature in saying that this place wasn't scary, because right now she was nervous, not scared, but definitely nervous.

"The cameras are rolling now," Zelena stated, "so this is said to be one of the most haunted areas of the castle, with several members of staff refusing to ever come into this space." Regina looked up seeing the stone walls that sloped into a dome shape with several arch ways lower down.

"Why?" Robin asked as they all waited for her response.

"They claimed to have seen a dark figure hanging from ceiling. I think we'll start with using a Rem-Pod, this piece of equipment will tell us when there are shifts in electrical energy using a series of lights." Zelena placed the box down in the centre of the room whilst the celebs all stood around the edges. "We're going to turn the lights off, you more often than not get a better reaction in the dark." The lights flickered off and they were plunged into darkness, Regina felt Jefferson hold onto her tighter.

"Is anyone else shitting themselves?" Jefferson laughed nervously. She was but she just didn't want to admit it.

"No," she confessed trying to sound brave and confident, fighting against the fear welling up inside her.

Everyone went silent, their eyes on the centre of the room where the box was. Zelena began asking out, trying to make contact with the spirits, "if there are any spirits present in this room, can you please touch the box or make a sound. Let us know you're here." The quiet took over once again as everyone stared at Rem-Pod, a light flashed and everyone gasped, holding on tighter to the people they were stood with. Then there was a bang on the opposite side of the room where no one was stood, Regina's stomach dropped and she swallowed nervously as others in the group let out worried squeals.

"Sydney are you getting anything?" Zelena asked, talking to the spiritual medium who had come along to see if he could in fact contact any spirits.

"I'm getting a name," he nodded, Regina tried her best not to laugh, this was the part she always found funny on television, she knew it was supposed to be serious, but she just couldn't take it that way, they would stand there and say all those things but most of it was available on the internet, anyone who believed it was a gullible idiot. "Rosena, Rosie, Rose, Rose, Rose is the name I am getting."

"Rose, if you are here with us in this room, could you please make a noise or touch the spirit box?" Zelena called out. Nothing happened and Regina rolled her eyes, this was silly and she had other places she would rather be. "Rose, if you are in this room, can you touch one of us, or make the lights on the box flash please."

"I don't think the person present is called Rose, they seem to be calling out for someone called Rose," Sydney stated, "it's almost as though they feel lost, or she is lost to them. They are searching, always searching."

"Do we have a name for the person searching?" Zelena asked.

"I'm getting… I'm…" there was a crack on the other side of the room, "Robert, yes Robert, Robert is searching, always searching for Rose."

"Robert, if you can hear us, we mean you no harm, just let us know you're here, tap one of us or touch the box in the middle of the room," all of a sudden the lights went crazy and the sounds blared loudly, "thank you Robert, do you miss her, who was she? Was she your wife?" The lights flashed and Regina swallowed heavily as she felt something on her neck, it seemed almost like breathing but she shook it off, it was probably Jefferson or Mal.

After they tried to talk to the spirit for a while, they decided that they would split up, the lights were switched back on and Regina went off with Mal and Jefferson as they were given a camera of their own. "So where are we supposed to be going?" Regina asked as she looked into the camera Jefferson was holding.

"The king's chamber," he stated in a ghoulish voice as he laughed causing Regina to shake her head as she chuckled at him. Once they reached their destination which was at the top of a winding staircase they moved into the room and sat in a circle on the floor.

"Shall I call out?" Regina asked, smirking at them and seeing the look of worry which passed over Jefferson's face.

"I'd prefer it if you didn't actually."

"We're supposed to be making contact," Regina grinned, she was totally up for playing this game now, she wanted to play to the camera, she was an actress and it was what she did best, she might as well give them a show worth watching. "If there are any spirits in this room, can you please let us know you're here," she asked. "Touch one of us, nudge Jefferson," she giggled, seeing the absolute horror from the man.

"Or nudge Regina, you know, you don't have to touch me, at all."

Regina snickered and leant against the bed, staring at the other two members within the group, Jefferson had placed the camera on a shelf so he didn't have to hold it whilst they sat down. "Anyone there?" She asked, not expecting to hear anything, but all of a sudden there was a creak from behind her, it sounded like someone had sat down on the bed.

"Did you hear that?" Mal whispered.

"Hmm," Regina nodded, her hand linking with Mal's. "Can you do it again please?" She breathed as they all listened for something. Nothing happened and she went quiet again.

About fifteen minutes later, everyone regrouped within the main hall of the castle, Regina glanced over to Robin and saw that Marian was holding onto Robin's arm, Regina scoffed and averted her eyes, she wasn't interested in it, not in the slightest. Zelena came back in through a door and stood in front of them, "now I'm going to turn off the lights, but first I want you in pairs. Mallory and Jefferson. Cruella and Marian. Regina and Robin. I want you to go off together please."

Regina rolled her eyes, feeling her two new friends squeeze her arms as she moved over to stand beside Robin and Marian reluctantly moved away from him. "Seems like we're paired together," Robin grinned, "wouldn't be the first time," he murmured under his voice.

"Robin," she warned, thinking back to the time they had once spent together, she didn't need the other people in the group knowing about it, nobody knew about it, except from herself and Robin, she hadn't told anyone. "So, I see you have been rather comfortable with Miss French, keeping her safe from all the ghosts and ghouls, were you?"

"Regina come off it, we can't all be fearless like you."

She simply rose an eyebrow at him before looking over at Marian who was gazing at him longingly, what a shame she wasn't paired with him for this segment, she would just have to make do without him for a while wouldn't she. "Okay, so I am going to be sending you to various locations around the castle. Robin, Regina, I want you to go inside the wartime tunnels and call out down there, they are underground, so it will be pitch black and there is a steep incline, so I need you both to be careful where you step."

Regina took a deep breath, of course they were the ones having to go to the most haunted part of the castle. They followed one of the guides who lead them towards where the tunnels were located, gesturing to the door. "Ladies first," Robin cleared his throat.

"I'm not going first," she declined as he stepped through the door and she followed him, the guide closed the door behind them and Regina shook her head, she refused to be scared by this, but it was pitch black, all they had were little torches and the lights on the cameras. They slowly made their way down the stairs before walking through winding tunnels that were built from hard stone, there was no light, or signs of life, the only sounds she could hear were hers and Robin's heavy breathing.

One of her hands pressed against his back for comfort, mainly just to know he was there. Once they were in the main area of the tunnels the stone wall changed to white washed walls and cladding, she swallowed heavily and shuffled, "why are supposedly haunted places always creepy as fuck?" She breathed.

"I don't know, but I wish they wouldn't be," he mumbled as he carried on going. Regina shook her head, trying to put the unsettled feeling to the back of her mind as they carried on walking. "This place is just freaky," Robin murmured.

Regina recognised that Robin was feeling just as nervous as she was and an evil plot began forming in her mind, she wanted to see just how scared he could get and seeing as there weren't any real ghost here to do that, she would have to do it herself. She slowly dropped her hand from his back and shuddered, "I think I felt something," she whispered.

"What?" he turned to look at her, his wide and eyes glowing because of the torch.

"On my neck, I think I felt something, it was like someone was behind me and blowing on me," she stated, describing what she experienced earlier whilst they had been in St John's tower.

"Oh my god, are you shitting with me?"

"No, I'm being deadly serious," she shuddered, "keep walking, I'm getting freaked out," she whispered, pushing him gently before dropping her hands. There went stage one of her ploy to scare him and so far, it seemed to be going swimmingly.

They walked in silence for a few meters before coming to a crossroads of tunnels, "which way do we go?" Robin asked as they looked down both, they were equally as long and as dark and she didn't particularly want to go down any of them if she were being honest.

"I really don't care, you choose," she stated.

Robin nodded and picked the right tunnel, veering off down there, there was a slight noise coming from some of the old pipes on the wall but she knew that was nothing, old places tended to make noises, that was a well-known fact so it was most likely nothing, she wasn't put off by it. Robin still looked nervous though, he clearly did not want to be there; she moved her finger and gently brushed it over the back of his neck causing him to jump out of his skin, "oh my god!"

"What?! What happened?!" she asked in a panicked voice.

"Something touched me, on my neck."

"What?" she shook her head.

"Did you do that?"

"No, this is getting creepy now, I don't like it," she groaned, smiling on the inside that she had managed to make him jump like a dog running from the vacuum cleaner.

"Just stay near me."

"Okay," she whispered, trying not to laugh as she followed behind him. They were both quiet and Regina found her opportunity, she stopped walking before scampering off back down the tunnel the way they'd just come, she moved around the corner hiding down the left side tunnel ready to jump out at him. As she stood there waiting she heard something behind her and turned to look down the pitch-black tunnel, shaking her head she put it down to paranoia and focused dead ahead of her, wishing that she had thought to bring her own torch. She was in complete darkness.

She felt something cold wash over her ear and froze still as what felt like finger tips ran across the back of her neck, this time she couldn't have been imagining it, but she had to be, there just wasn't any other explanation, unless… "very funny Robin, but you're going to have to try harder than that to scare me," she reached out, trying to touch him but was met with only air, "Robin?" she called, swallowing heavily as she heard what sounded like voices down the tunnel, no one else was supposed to be in there, it was just the two of them alone, not even with a camera man so she didn't know who it could be talking.

As she looked down the tunnel the feeling of fingertips brushing over her was back, this time running across the bottom of her spine, she whipped around and reached out to grab Robin to catch him read handed, but yet again she was met with the stuffy air of the underground tunnels. She felt her ears begin to heat up as she looked around in alarm, it was just her subconscious, she knew it was, there wasn't anything else that it could be, that's what she kept repeating to herself. "Robin, I don't find this funny," she stated, walking back towards the junction, her hand holding onto the wall, using it as her guide.

She was just about feeling calm again when she heard a groan against her ear and something bumped against her ass, nudging her, her eyes widened and she screamed, "Robin?! Where the fuck are you?!" she cried, completely panicking. She knew that was him playing a prank on her, he must have had the same idea she did and decided to trick her the arsehole. "Robin!"

Regina felt as though she couldn't breathe, she was trying to control the fear and nerves, but both seemed to just be flooding her to the point where she thought she might have a panic attack. She felt hands grab her arms and screamed again.

"Whoa! It's me, it's okay," Robin stated, pulling her into his arms as she buried her face against his chest, "where did you go?"

"I must have lost you and then I tried to find you and something was touching me," she whispered, "I swear to god if that was you playing a prank on me…"

"I was nowhere near you Regina, I was inside the opposite tunnel when I heard you scream," he confessed, she couldn't see his face but she could hear the sincerity in his voice, something which told her that he was telling the truth, but if that were the case then what the fuck was touching her? "Come on, let's get the fuck out of here," Robin sighed, threading his fingers with hers as he tugged her back towards the way they had come. It was safe to say she had learnt her lesson and she would never try to prank him ever again.

And this is just the beginning... ;)
