Everybody hears about going into the white light. How peaceful it is. How warm it is. But no one ever tells you how bright it is. Even with my eyes closed, I can feel it pressing through my eyelids, forcing me to see it. I want to keep my eyes closed just a little while longer but the light won't be ignored and I am forced to peel my eyelids open. At first, all I can see is white. Not the type of white that burns you like the sun. But rather, a white that is so pure and clean it holds your gaze. However, as I blink the white begins to dim and I begin to see my surroundings.

At first, it seems like I'm in a meadow. Green grass that spans as far as the eyes can see. What seems to be a stream in the distance. Cloudless blue skies. But something is off. And I realize that in the middle of the green grass is a mahogany desk and behind that desk is a woman who appears to glow. Her blonde hair is pulled back in a sharp bun. She is wearing a white suit that remains perfectly clean despite the surroundings. And her face looks too perfect to be human. I look around once more and I realize that we aren't alone. Scattered across the meadow are hundreds of people. Some sleeping, some lying down, some chatting to one another. But as my eyes scan the scene there is one face that catches my stare. A young boy sitting alone with golden hair and amber eyes stares at me as if he can see through me. For some reason, I want to go to him but before I can, two men wearing suits identical to the woman behind the desk appear in front of me.

"Clarissa Fray?" The one on the right asks. I look at him before replying and take in his appearance. His hair is slicked back and streaked with grey but his face displays no sign of his age. Just like the woman seated behind the desk, his face is too perfect to be human.

"Yes," I reply.

"I am Hodge. This is Luke," he says gesturing to the other man. "Follow us."

The men begin walking and I realize that it wasn't a request. My feet move as if I am being pulled by the two men. Before I can ask questions I am directly in front of the mahogany desk and I am looking at the woman in front of me. I begin to study her face and I see why she isn't human. Her eyes are two white orbs with what appears to be grey smoke swirling within them. I look at the two men who have now stood on each side of her and I see that their eyes are the exact same.

"Clarissa Adele Fray," the woman begins. "Daughter of Valentine Morgenstern and Jocelyn Fray. 19 years old. Born August 23rd, 1991. Died May 2nd, 2010."

The woman's voice seems to project across the entire meadow even though it seems that Luke, Hodge, and I are the only ones who can hear her. At first, I think she is waiting for me to respond but then I look at her eyes and I realize they have become completely grey and if her face could wrinkle, I think her forehead would crease in thought. The woman continues to stare at me as if she is calculating something and after a long pause she utters one word.

"Transition."

And with that, the woman, the two men, and the desk disappear and I am left in the meadow with the realization that I, along with all of these people, am dead.

Hey friends. So just a couple of notes about me and my stories and what not.

Number 1. This chapter is obviously a super short tease but I just thought I would keep it short just to give everyone a little taste. This story is going to be a little different. The characters are going to act differently and obviously since my main characters are dead this story is going in a very specific direction. The main focus of this story is obviously the plot but it's also going to be about some major character development so hopefully, you enjoy.

Number 2. In terms of my updating schedule I want to try and keep it consistent with an update every Sunday but in the beginning, the updates might be a bit more frequent just so I can get the ball rolling in terms of the story.

Number 3. I only work on one story at a time. So I will be giving this story my full undivided attention until it is finished and once it is I will move onto the next one. This story SHOULD be 24 chapters. One chapter per hour of the day. But knowing me I might break the rules a little. We shall see.

Anyway, that's all for now friends. As always, leave me plenty of reviews
