A/N: I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! Oh, and I have a doozy for you. This is taken from Andy Brown's POV. Set in S3. Nina just accepted a date from Jake and Andy drops by to collect Delia. =) HAVE FUN!
"Awww… You look so pretty," Delia gushed. "Can I put glitter glue on your face?"
"Oh, Thank you, but I don't want to look like I'm trying too hard." Nina laughed.
Delia nodded, still smiling.
"What's going on up here?" Andy called from the bottom of the stairs. "Didn't anyone hear the doorbell?" he reached the doorway of Nina's bedroom and his eyes nearly popped out of his head. "Wow…" Nina was dressed in a baby-blue sundress with embroidery and she looked like she had just stepped out of a model magazine. He had never seen her look so beautiful. His heart hammered in his chest as he stepped further into the room.
Too bad she was getting dressed for her date with Dr. Jake.
"You look… turn around," he ordered.
Nina slowly rotated on her feet, giving him a perfect view of her stunning figure. The dress fit perfectly, hugging her curves in all the right places. Andy felt the saliva gather in his mouth. If he wasn't careful he was going to start having convulsions. She was perfect. How had he not seen it before?
He laughed uncomfortably. "You are… shedding all over the place. Do you have a lint brush?" he asked, hiding the true emotions that had finally found their way to the surface.
"Yeah, it's on the dresser," she muttered, her smile fading quickly.
Andy reached for the brush, giving himself a fraction of a second to pull himself together before he gently took her arm and used the lint brush on the thick straps of the dress and her stomach. He would have tried in other places if his body wasn't so warm. It was like a furnace under all his clothes. As his hand held her arm he felt a familiar rush of adrenaline. The kind he had felt with Julia when they first started dating way back when.
"Well, I'm going to go finish some homework," Hannah smiled knowingly, stalking out of the room before her face expression gave her away.
"Thanks Andy," Nina said laced with disappointment. "I can handle it from here."
Andy hid his satisfaction well and handed her the lint brush. "Oh, okay. Great."
Damn Jake. He hated that guy. Not only was he a 'loathsome reptilian nurse stealer' as Dr. Abbott had so bluntly put it when he had taken on Edna as his receptionist, but now he was going after Nina and that was just unacceptable. Nina was his best friend.
Nina and Jake were like Yin and Yang. Complete opposites. Jake was sly and manipulative and Nina didn't have a single mean bone in her body. When her husband had filed for divorce she was willing to settle for whatever minimum crap he was offering. Jake didn't deserve her. No one did. She was too perfect.
"Come on, Delia," he urged. He couldn't get out there fast enough. The idea of Nina dating Jake made him feel extremely icky. "So long, Nin," he called over his shoulder. "And knock back a wheat grass for me."
Nina forced a smile. He knew it was forced because he had seen the real one a thousand times. The way her whole face lit up. The way her eyes wrinkled in the corners. She was beautiful. And he hated that Jake had seen it first when the whole time she had been right under his nose.
Losers weepers… wasn't that how the saying went?
A/N: Oh my God… that was SOOOOOO fun to write. I was watching reruns and I came across the episode SACRIFICE and I just couldn't pass up the opportunity of writing from Andy's POV. I hope you had fun reading it.
PLEASE, if you liked it, leave a review… and even if you didn't, I don't mind you saying so. =)
