Chapter 1- Crash Landing
The room shook. Luigi looked up from his book, not worried. It shook again, this time longer. Now he became a little concerned; he decided to investigate. He stepped outside his room. Another rumble. He wondered why the alarms hadn't gone off. As if in answer, redstone lamps and note blocks all around him started to blink and sound in intervals of four. Luigi's stomach lurched. He didn't even remember what a four meant; there had never been one. He composed himself. Best not to panic everyone else, more than they might already be. He rushed out onto the main deck, where a few others had already conjugated. Suddenly the Sky Fort pitched violently to one side. Luigi lost his balance and nearly fell over. He started to panic. He knew that it was his duty to maintain order. But how could he without all of his valuables on hand? That was what he told himself. He ran over to a player and told them to spread the word for everyone to gather their belongings in case of an emergency. When the player asked what kind of emergency, he simply said that staff was working tirelessly to sort it out.
Luigi ran as fast as he could back to his room. After reaching it without incident he, fast as possible, exchanged everything he had on him for only the best items he owned. Armor, check. Tools, check. Foodstuffs, check. Wood, in case he needed blocks he could work with, check. The et cetera stuff because he had room left, check. He stashed a bed as well. Felling more secure, he quickly returned to the main deck.
The place was more crowded upon his return. Luigi hoped he could handle this; his partners in charge were nowhere to be seen. He could only assume they were busy assessing the problem. The Fort pitched even more chillingly than the last time- They better hurry it up! Luigi thought. All of a sudden there was a loud, drawn out groaning sound. Everyone went silent. The foreboding sound came again, but this time more powerful. It did not stop.
That sound… No… Oh, no, oh no oh no oh no! Luigi thought. My beloved Sky Fort… Along with along with all of the people on it!
"Everyone! There's been a drastic change in schedule! We may be making an unexpected stop!" Luigi shouted. "But there is no cause for alarm-"
"No cause for alarm? No cause for alarm?! We're going to crash, and you're trying to tell us that there's no cause for alarm?!" someone in the crowd interrupted.
The idea of crashing must've been too much for everyone to handle, because before Luigi could counter the player's former statement, the whole mass of players was suddenly in motion.
As loud as he could, Luigi yelled "People! OOF! If you all could just- Hey, watch it! …Calm yourselves, then- OUCH!"
Unfortunately the crowd was far to panicked to be talked to. So Luigi backed out of the frenzy, towards the edge of the Fort. He looked about himself. Less than twenty minutes ago, everything had been going just fine, all according to schedule, and he had been relaxing, on his well deserved break hour. What had possibly went wrong, most likely in Command Center, he had no clue. Luigi frowned- the groaning still had not stopped. But it was growing louder. Out of nowhere there was an earsplitting craaaaack. Everyone covered their ears. Luigi let go of the railing that surrounded the edge to do so. Then the ground jolted, worse than all of the other times combined. To his horror, Luigi found himself slipping, slipping, falling off the edge. He opened his mouth to scream, but no sound came out. He looked up. And he passed out.
