I really should get back to work on 'Failure.' I have scrapped so many drafts and its frustrating. I know what i want to do i just cant seem to get it down on paper.
So for now, here is a clip from a story i will be working on after i finish 'Failure' and 'Freezing Summers.'
Zak was quiet.
Francis sat beside him reading through computer database. "This will work," the you agent assured. "Monday can only be as strong as you are and you only as strong as he is; but we will be there to help you. Monday is going to be without support." Francis explained. "I have friends, Monday doesn't." Zak summed up. The green clad teen sighed.
"When are Ulraj and Wadi going to here?" Zak questioned. Francis paused for a moment. "They may not make it in time. We have to move soon and waiting for them could give Monday the upper hand." Francis glanced at his hand-held computer. "I... could call my people."
Zak gasped."Oh hell no! If they help me they'll ask for something in return... It will probably have to do with the 'living air defense' plan; Your people are still obsessed with that, right?" Francis stiffly nodded. "I am sorry about all of that."
Zak's head snapped up towards the door. "Wadi's here." he said with his eyes transfixed.
Right on cue, Wadi strolled into the room to find the two teens staring at her. "Aw, I miss the old days. It was fun sneaking up on you, Zak." she chided. "I miss the old days too. I miss not having to worry if someone is trust worthy or not, but that's not important right now. Has Ulraj contacted you?" "Fish boy? Nah. Probably preening himself like the royal brat he is."
Francis shook his head in disgust. "I do not understand why you call him a 'brat.' He is older then all of us." "Yet he's the only one who hasn't changed." "That makes little to no sense. Its been six YEARS; he's become a better king for his people during the span of that time." Wadi rolled her eyes at Francis, then she turned to face Zak. "So are we heading out to kick Monday's butt?" The dual haired teen nodded. "We're holding out for Ulraj. If he doesn't appear in time, then we will have to confront Monday without him."
"How did you find Monday anyway?" Francis beamed smugly at Wadi. "I found him; Not that it was very hard. I taught Zak the art of concealment-" "The most boring lessons i have ever had." "-and, to our advantage, Monday never learned such skills; due to the fact that Omega(1) hadn't become Monday's ally. So he never learned to cover his tracks. A few searches on strange events of 'mysterious animal' attacks and i tracked him down."
Wadi snorted at Francis's arrogance. "So Zak... are you ready for this?" Zak took a deep breath. "No. I have a bad feeling about this. I don't know why, but I feel like I'm not going to come back from this fight alive."
(1): Francis Omega is my fictional character. He is the mirror world version of Francis Epsilon.
