RRRIIINNNGGG! RRRIIINNNGGG! RRRIIINNNGGG!
"WHAT NOW?" Annabeth Chase screamed into the phone at her boyfriend, Percy Jackson. Annabeth was going on a visit to her dad's place for a week this summer. Though Percy wanted her to let him come with her, she insisted she wanted to do it alone. Just her and her family (and her step-mom). Though he seemed sat at first, he quickly recovered and waved her good-bye. Though it's sweet, he has called her 23 times in the last 10 minutes, impossible? Not in Percy's case...
"Sorry Annabeth," Percy answered her out burst in a small voice, "I'm just worried."
Annabeth's tone softened, "I know you are Percy, but I'm just as fine as I was 10 seconds ago. Don't worry, I'll be back before you know it. I swear." She ended the call on that note. She loved Percy but sometimes he could be so... Percy.
She told the taxi driver to take a left then hopped out of the car at her address.
Annabeth payed the driver and bounded up the front steps to her "home".
Annabeth no longer considered this place her home once she became a full time camper. She still visited once the war ended.
The war.
So many lives lost. Families diminished. Friends, gone. Everything... Destroyed.
But Annabeth tried not to think about that now, she had a new family, new friends, and...
Percy. And she was pretty content with that.
She was brought out of her thoughts when her father opened the door with a confused/joyous look on his face.
"ANNABETH!" He and her step-brothers screamed
He quickly ushered her in, gave her a quick hug, and called for her step-brothers and step-mom. While her brothers gave her a bear hug Mrs. Chase hung in the background. Only giving her a curt nod.
She them sat down and spoke of her time away. Percy. The war. Percy. Camp. Percy. Oh and did she mention Percy?
So there she sat with her "family" and she was happy. For now...
