Character: Sabo
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
Sabo awoke to the soft sound of birds outside his hideout. His dream slowly fading from his mind. It left him in a happy content mood that would slowly fade as the day wore on, grateful that it was one of the happier dreams and not one of the nightmares that plagued his dreams from time to time. He never did remember any of those, only small tidbits of things that were horribly bad and the feeling that he was loosing something very important.
He slowly got up and stretched the last of sleep from his muscles. Moving about he reflected on the dream he had. It started out as his normal days went but were set further into the forest than he was settled. Two people were in his dream that were recurring, two raven haired boys, one with freckles and the other with a scar under his left eye. They were hunting and playing in a dangerous forest without any care in the world. Thinking on it brought a small sad smile on his face.
Speaking of hunting, it was time for breakfast, he had to be quick or all the good food would be gone. And with that he was off to the Grey Terminal. Once there he took out one the thugs with a decent sized bag of money and took off. Thanks his dreams and what they contained, he had more knowledge than what would be normal for an eight year old child, thus using said knowledge to gain strength. With the bag of coins in his hand he went into the city for a last second idea to have food from a small, decrepit restaurant at the edge of the city. As soon as he was full he took off into the forest, eager to start the days training session.
As he was running, the dream came back to him, he let himself get lost in the feelings from it. After some time he looked up and realized he was in deeper than he normally went, though looked very familiar and he slowed down a bit. Then it hit him. This is the same scenes from his dream! That means that just ahead is the clearing with the hut! He starts running, faster than what he was running before, eager to see the boys from his dream. Before he knew it, the break in the trees was coming up, he picked up speed and burst through the trees to see-
Well it was a clearing, just not the one he was hoping to see. He slowed down to a walk and stopped, before falling to his knees as he took in the sight before him.
There in front of him was a sight that could not be seen normally, even if he had been standing on the top of the city wall due to being on the other side of the mountain. It was a breathtaking sight, a field of grass making its way down the mountain to the coast. Several hundred feet in front of him there looked to be the remains of a building, further down at the coast was one single dock that had seen better days. Next to the dock were several more buildings, all looking as though they had been through a fire.
A few hours had passed before he would bring himself to get up from being curled up on the ground, his eyes long having dried. His wipes his nose on he sleeve before turning to slowly walk back into the forest, his eyes cold and dark. Forget about his dream to write about his adventures. He will still write, but it will be about the corruption of the world. He will get stronger and stronger. He will do whatever it takes to bring them down. No-one would know what hit them.
