notes just something short I wrote for the sake of writing. a lot of it is pretty meaningless.
ten genres—hikaru and akira;
01. angst
Hikaru looks down and smiles sadly in the midst of flashing cameras, thinking of sakura petals and dainty white cloth and a voice too far away to reach for; Akira watches, and wonders if he can be the person he is yearning for.
02. au
"Get off," Akira complains, when his pirate hat is knocked off his head and his peg leg falls off ("Shindou, I can't be a pirate without a peg leg!); Hikaru merely growls and proceeds to proclaim to the world that ramen is totally a vegetable.
03. crack
"Shindou, you are an idiot," Akira says, to which Hikaru replies, "Well, I'm not the one in a dress, you dork."
04. future
"Tell me," Akira prompts; Hikaru looks out the window, eyes shining with sadness, and Akira hurts, because even after ten years, Hikaru refuses to tell him.
05. first time
"Oh my god, Touya, you are the most ridiculous person I have ever met who has never even had a brain freeze before what is wrong with you."
06. fluff
Akira tells Hikaru he might kind of sort of like him on a hot, summer evening; Hikaru is so excited that the next day he orders five bowls of ramen and realizes too late that he's broke—but really, who is he to care?
07. humor
"TOUYA THERE'S A COCKROACH ON THE CARPET KILL IT KILL IT KILL IT RIGHT NOW."
08. hurt/comfort
When Touya hits his midlife crisis, the doorbell rings and the first thing he sees is Hikaru's ridiculous new haircut and a tub of ice cream.
09. smut
In the reflection of Akira's floor-length mirror, planes of skin and muscle lie against limbs that stretch and know exactly where to go.
10. ust
"Uh, so why did Kurata-san give this sketchy video to you again?"
