Who was Hawke?

By Of Quikry Excellence, aka LyriumGhost18

A little poem-ish thing I wrote at 3 am. Early morning plot bunnies strike again! Who Annabelle is in the eyes of those around her.

To Fereldan she was just another refugee the Blight was destined to destroy.

In Tevinter she was an outlaw, but to the slaves, the hero who freed many.

To Danarius, she was Goldie, the slave he'd failed to tame, and the one who'd stolen his "pet."

To Orana she was "mistress," despite the elf being told many times she was free.

To Leandra, she was the last of her three children, the only one not taken by Darkspawn.

To Bethany, she had been a sister and friend, someone to look up to.

To Carver, she was a pain, competition for Mother's love, but yet he'd died saving her.

To Aveline she was a comrade who was always trusted at her back.

To Varric, she was a partner in mischief, always ready to stir up trouble, but always meaning well.

To Isabela she was the voice of reason, always there to help but never to help the pirate do things she would regret.

To Merrill she was a friend, who helped her confront several demons, one on the ouside and many within.

To Anders she was a reminder of her sister, who'd been taken from him in the Deep Roads.

To Fenris she was his love, perhaps the only reason he had to keep fighting, a gentle soul and a saint, whome he protected and cherished.

To Meredith she was an enemy, just another threat to her authority over the mages, although she was not even a mage.

To the mages she was a saint, the only one who remembered they were human.

To Kirkwall she was the Champion, whose actions had stopped the Arishok's rampage and avenged their Viscount's death.

To herself Annabelle was just another soldier, fighting for a cause. She was not perfect but she had Fenris and her other companions who were her other half.

They made her complete.

She was Hawke.
