Admiral Q's Beagle

This was inspired by the last line of the Epilogue of the movie novelization where a certain beagle transports in out of nowhere. There's a supreme being looking out for the new Enterprise, and it isn't God or Satan either for that matter.

Q smirked as he saw the looks of consternation on the faces of the confused security officers as they chased the excited beagle that had once belonged to Admiral Archer through the corridors of yet another ship called Enterprise. No matter the timeline, the ships called Enterprise had piqued his interest since the day he had caught his son Trelane tormenting the human called Kirk. This new Enterprise was no exception.

The beagle was finally cornered in Engineering after members of several departments joined the chase, all wondering at the origins of said beagle except for the mortified Chief Engineer. None, not even Scotty realized that it had been brought aboard by the one who watched over fools, small children, and ships called Enterprise.

And if the ships called Enterprise should happen to have more adventures than the rest of the fleet combined, well even supreme beings get bored sometimes.
