Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter, if I did there would be a book eight.
Pansy Parkinson sighed quietly when Draco sat next to her. He had asked Astoria Greengrass to be his girlfriend last night. It was all he was going to talk about. But she listened, because she was his best friend, it was her duty.
The best friend, that's how he knew her. That's all he would ever see in her.
Pansy stared into the mirror and cringed at all of her imperfections. She was ugly. Upturned nose, boring hair, lifeless eyes, wide lips, pale skin. Maybe if she went on a diet he would like her more?
No wonder he didn't want her. She was ugly.
Pansy faked a smile when Astoria bounded up to her and Draco. She acted pleasant, sweet even. Pansy was skilled at hiding her emotions.
Astoria was an image of perfection. He would never choose Pansy over her.
Pansy laughed at his joke, she hated her laugh. It was annoying, high pitched. And she did this weird breath in the middle that sounded like a gasp.
If only she could laugh like Astoria, maybe then he would like her.
Pansy watched as Draco punched the boy who was kissing Astoria, she felt anger and confusion.
How could Astoria cheat on someone like Draco? She doesn't deserve him.
Pansy held back a smile as she watched Draco and Astoria fight. It made her feel happy.
Were they breaking up? Maybe this was her chance to tell him…
Pansy held Draco as he cried, comforting him. She now felt bad about being happy about the same thing that made Draco so upset.
Draco should feel happy, Pansy could make him feel happy.
Pansy held back her tears as Draco forgave Astoria. How could he forgive someone that caused him so much pain?
She should have known he would go back to her. After all, Astoria was perfection.
Pansy hugged her pillow, crying herself to sleep.
Astoria would never love Draco as much as Pansy did.
Pansy stopped dead in her tracks, it was happening again. Astoria was kissing Nott.
Should she get Draco? No, It would hurt him too much.
Pansy ripped Astoria away from Nott and slapped her. It felt good, Pansy hoped she left a mark.
Astoria was nothing but a whore, she didn't deserve Draco. She didn't deserve anyone.
Pansy couldn't believe her ears as Draco yelled at her, defended Astoria. He hated her for hitting his darling Astoria.
Pansy was trying to help. Why didn't Draco understand that?
Pansy held back her tears as Draco ignored her at the Slytherin table.
He didn't look at her, didn't speak to her. She may as well be invisible.
