Cuddy sat there at her desk looking at the stack of paperwork. Trying to figure out if House really loved her or not. They had started a relationship right after she got Joy. They still fused and fight but would always make up when they got back home, sometimes. All she wanted him to do is say nothing but three words, three little words that would make her day. She loved that man like no one could ever, even more than Stacy. She sighed, gathered her things and headed home to Joy.

When she reached home, she found the babysitter asleep on the couch. She walked over to her and told her to go home. The babysitter nodded and walked out of the house telling Cuddy the baby was good. Cuddy walked into the nursery and picked up ninth month Joy. She smiled and kissed her baby as Joy smiled at her. She moved some of Joy's blonde hair out the way and sat in the rocking chair.

Cuddy sat in that chair for about thirty-minutes until she heard a thump of a cane make its way to the nursery. They didn't say a word to each other. House walked right up behind her, kissed Joy of the forehead and whispered in her ear. He had finally said the words.

'I love you,' and tears started to rush down Cuddy's face.

'I love you,' Cuddy returned. She lifted her head and they shared a kiss.

Say nothing but three words, three little words that mean a lot.

Three little words that can make someone's day,

Three little words that can even make the sun smile,

Three little words that could catch even heavens breath,

Just say nothing but three words.
