Joy awakens, finding a sleeping Victoria beside her. She smiles, and snuggles close to her lover and best friend. Victoria, feeling a presence snuggling up behind her, wakes, and turns to find Joy behind her, arms around her waist.
Sharing a mutual glance and a smile, Victoria sighs and closes her eyes, knowing that Joy was there.
Awaking the next morning, she finds Joy still there. Yawning, she turned and looked at Joy, a huge grin spread across her face.
"Good morning, my love."
She leans in, and embraces Joy, then part and look at each other.
"Morning, Tori," she says, yawning.
"Are you still here? I thought you would leave the bed," Victoria says, raising an eyebrow. Typically, Joy left the bed before sunrise. And now, it was sunrise, and she was still there, spooned up behind her.
"I thought we could lie here, in each other's arms and watch the sunrise together."
Victoria smiles, she thought it was the sweetest thing Joy has ever thought of. Joy tightens her grip around Victoria, and leans in and gives her a peck on the lips.
"You are too sweet."
She loved Joy, loved her with every bone in her body. She didn't want her to leave the country. Joy was special to her, not only as a friend, but as a lover. Victoria smiles, and nuzzles against Joy's shoulder affectionately, as she has just seen the first glow of the rising sun.
"Look, baby…it's beautiful." Joy looks, and sighs.
"I wish we could stay like this for hours. You, me…"
Victoria sighs in agreement. "I do too."
They lay in silence, Joy's arms tightly around Victoria's waist.
