Tainted Knight
It's painful
The look in your eyes
Dark emotions eating away at your very core
Soul being tainted by blood and revenge
It's written on your face
The need for revenge
Justice for an unjust act
But senseless violence breeds more senseless violence
When will it end?
Revenge is empty
An emptiness that devours you whole
Once you were my Knight
Gleaming and strong
With shinning ideals, bright armor and a pure heart
Now the armor has rotten away under the poison of the vengeance
The pure heart broken by weight of sorrow and anger
Gone is the smiling gentle boy
Here is nothing but an empty husk
A pawn of revenge
Nothing more or less
But I will wait
In hopes that someday
I will find in you my knight once again
Even if it's in vain
Even if it takes forever
I will wait for revenge to loosen its hold
And to see the shine of the armor of my knight once again
