Tears

It's that night where Asami hears crying from a certain person's room. It's just been a couple hours since Korra had escaped from Tarrlok and Amon and it had been quite a night. Asami sighs softly as she gets out of bed, quietly walking towards Korra's room. The crying was coming from there. Concern washed over Asami as she quietly walked in. She didn't say a word, all Asami did was pull the crying Korra into her arms and hold her.

"Shh. It's alright. It's over now."

Korra was shocked to hear Asami's voice and went to explain herself but all

that came out was a choked sob.

"I shouldn't be so scared..." Korra choked out. "I'm an Avatar who's afraid. All the past Avatars must be laughing at me. I'm a disgrace."

It hurt Asami to hear this because this girl was going through so much at

once as being the Avatar.

"It's okay to be afraid. Everyone is afraid at some point in their lives.

Avatar Aang was afraid once. He was afraid to face and kill the Fire Lord, but he did it. It takes time to get over the fear. Trust me. It's all going to be

okay..."

Korra in response just simply nodded and she continued to cry. Asami rocked her gently, rubbing her back soothingly, and holding her close. It had been about a good hour before Korra had finally calmed down and looked up at Asami for the first time that night.

"I'm sorry. You shouldn't have woken up and come over here. I soaked a part of your shirt and must've worried you. I'm sorry." Korra apologized.

"Don't be sorry. I heard you crying and became concerned. It's alright."

Asami spoke softly to the young Avatar, wiping a tear away from the girl's face. "You need to get your rest."

"I...will try. Thank you, Asami. It means a lot."

"Anytime." Asami held Korra once more and waited until she was asleep.

Once Korra had finally fallen asleep, Asami couldn't help at how beautiful

the girl looked. She smiled softly as she placed a kiss on Korra's forehead, and returning back into her room.

End.
