AU – NO MAGIC

For Albus it was hard being the son of the Head of Scotland Yard, mainly because he was nothing like his Dad, only in looks. He got teased at school for his father's work, especially when he was on the Tv, yet he was expected to do as well as his parents and older brothers had done. He had one friend, who also happened to be the son of his father's old school rival.

His older brother James was Captain of the Rugby Team, and got mostly A's or B's, his adopted and eldest brother Teddy was Captain of the Football team and Head Boy, also graduating with the highest grades in his year. His younger sister Lily had already won multiple awards for Dance and was even an extra in a movie a few years ago. She didn't have expectations to live up to because she had already surpassed any that were set in place.

But Albus hadn't. He wasn't the Captain of any team, he had average grades and hadn't even thought about being Head Boy. He didn't do dance and could only wish to act in films.

He wanted to be an actor, but that just wasn't possible, in his eyes at least. For one he would only ever get cast because of his father's position, especially after he was knighted by the Queen and became a part time Politician. And he didn't believe himself to be much good.

But there was one good thing in his life. Scorpius Malfoy, whose father also happened to be an MP and former Stage Actor. But Draco quit after his wife, Astoria, got cancer.

Something happened though, after he finished in GCSE's. He met a girl. Someone who liked him, loved him even. Someone who didn't care about his father, or even his mother who went from Football star to journalist after having kids.

Delphi Riddle. Or Delphi Diggory when they first met. She told him later that she had taken on her distant cousin's name so nobody would think any less of her, being the Daughter of the Infamous Thomas Riddle, now deceased terrorist and former Prime Minister who almost started another war and plotted to Kill the Queen.

He accepted that, he showed her that he didn't care what her surname was in the same way she didn't care about his.

But she lied to him.

And his belief, his hope and all of the mind games lead to dangerous consequences.

"This is the unknown story of Albus Potter and Delphi Riddle."

There was confusion for months afterwards, nobody understood what had happened. A year after it all ended the BBC released a documentary, an hour long at the most, and Albus Potter retold his story once more.
