A/N Okay before you start hating me its not really a Reinette/Doctor story. It could be taken that way I guess but think what you like. I was just thinking about the episode and realized that Madame de Pompadour had never really seen that much and this is the product of that. I am a firm Doctor/Rose shipper but I don't hate Reinette. I might have hated her if she had come in between the Doctor and Rose for more than one episode.
Anyway, enough rambling.
It's story time children.
She had seen his mind, she had kissed him and had seen his glory. Bt there were so many things that she had never seen.
She had never seen the psychic paper. He had wanted to see if she would have seen through it. He thought maybe she would have, Madame de Pompadour was brilliant. Even if she wasn't brilliant enough she had never been able to wonder at the mystery of it. She would never hear him try to explain it simply and end up confusing her.
She had never properly seen the sonic screwdriver. She had only had glimpses of the Doctor's favourite tool. She had never know and never would know it's name and all the miraculous things it could do.
She had never even seen the TARDIS. Never uttered the classic phrase, never wondered at its impossibility. The TARDIS had never created a room for her, had never embraced her as a companion. Reinette would never how homey a sentient blue box could be.
She had never stepped on an alien planet. He would never experience her awe and disbelief, the true reason that he took companions. She knew of time travel and of his ability to take her to the stars but she had never been. She had never seen space. He imagined her at the door of the TARDIS her skirts swirling around as her face lit up in wonder. But that would never be.
But she had been brilliant even if she had never touched the stars.
