Riley Matthews was sitting in her bay window with a nervous smile appearing on her face. She was waiting patiently for her blonde friend to come through her window like she always does. Usually when Maya comes through Riley's window they go straight to her school using the subway, however today was different. Riley needed help and she had a feeling that the only person she can trust and help her was her bestest friend in the world.
After a few seconds, Riley heard a knock on the window. She turned towards the opened window that was on her right and saw her best friend with a smile on her face. Straight after knock, Maya crawled into Riley's bedroom window and sat down at the bay window in her usual spot.
"what's up, werido?" Maya joked whilst staring at Riley "Are we going to class or not?"
"Hi, Peaches" Riley giggled under her breath whilst biting her lip.
Maya looked over at her friend and frowned "okay, what happened this time?"
Riley rubbed her head and laughed "Why do you think anything happened?"
Maya glared at her best friend and continued to stare till Riley spilled "Riley, Honey, you can tell me anything you know that right?"
Riley looked back over at Maya and saw that she looked very concerned and upset. She hated to make Maya upset, when Maya becomes upset it would make herself upset as well. Riley moved closer to her friend and held her hand. Maya blushed and looked towards Riley.
"Riley?" Maya questioned
Riley looked at her friend and said "Please do not tell anyone else about this just yet, wait till I am ready" She looked at Maya with a concerned look "do you promise?"
Maya nodded. She thought she knew where this was going. Maya just sat there smiling whilst her friend was about to speak. Riley took a deep breath and moved her head closer to Maya's. Maya blushed and bit her lip. Riley turned Maya's face and whispered in her ear.
"I think I might have accidently asked Zay out to go out with me!"
Riley moved back to her original position and noticed the shock expression on her best friend's face. Maya's smile turned to a frown but she tried to hide it away from Riley.
"Oh" Maya stated
"just, oh?" Riley looked over at Maya with a concerned look "You are supposed to be helping me, that's what friends do…please help me!"
"Well it isn't that bad…" Maya said with a disappointed reaction "You like him, don't you?"
"Yeah, of course" Riley blushed and nodded "I mean he is great, I don't know if I like him like that?"
Maya looked over at Riley and grabbed her hand "Feelings are not that simple, but first tell me how this happened and we go from there…"
