Cross my heart and hope to die

Ok...I was feeling sad when I wrote this. Naruto x Itachi. Two character deaths. I hate Sasuke. He can go die in a ditch for all I care. Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto or anyone else...If I did then there would yaoi and the Akatsuki would still be alive.

I still remember the day...

Sometimes better then others...

The day my one true love died...

"Sasuke...I never meant to hurt you like I did. I had to save you from fathers' wrath...Know that I always thought of you as my little brother." Itachi said as he took his last breath.

"NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Itachi!!!!!!!!" I cried running up to his cold body.

"Why Sasuke?! He was trying to save you! Then you go and kill him! I don't even know why I'm trying to save you!" I cried.

Sasuke just stood there like an idiot. Staring at Itachi's body.

"You basterd. Why are you just standing there!" I screamed at Sasuke.

"Just leave him Naruto. He's gone and there's nothing you can do about it.

"No. I made him a promise." I said.

I hugged Itachi's cold, dead body to my own as my heart began to ach.

"Fine...Die along with the traitor." Sasuke said.

He stabbed his sword into my heart.

"Besides. You never keep your promises anyhow." Sasuke replied as he walked away.

"You're wrong. I promised to love Itachi till the day I die." I whispered as my body fell to the ground.

"I will always love you, cross my heart and hope to die..."
