Prologue

Makoto Naegi

Makoto Naegi's day went from bad to worse. He had been informed that none of the students in the 13th class of New Hope's Peak Academy showed up to class, and now he had found them. The only problem was that he found them in the simulation, or the simulation of a killing game to be exact. As much as he wanted to remove them from the game, the mastermind had outsmarted them. The removal of a student from the game would result in the student's death. As much as he would like to remove them from the game, he wouldn't risk their deaths. The worst part about it is the mastermind knows that.

Naegi sighed. He never wanted his students to go through a killing game. The killing game could turn even the kindest hearts into the most ruthless killers. He exited the room that held the class and entered the room that held the people he trusted most. As he entered the room, he heard a question being asked of him,

"Well? Are they okay?" He nodded to the question. "Yes, they are well, Kirigiri."

He heard her sigh, "Are you okay?" He grimaced,

"I would not say that I am okay but I am managing. I am worried about them. I don't know how Junko Enoshima's AI survived. I thought Usami had finished it off."

"That is what we all thought too, but apparently it is not the case. Do you have any updates on getting the children out?" Naegi's eyes lowered to the floor,

"No, taking them out of the simulation would kill them outright." Kirigiri frowned. The conversation just ended there. They both knew each other well enough to know what was going through the other's head. Their eyes watched the screen, following the supposed "protagonist" The supposed "protagonist" was the main character that the cameras followed. Naegi had been the protagonist in the first game and Hajime Hinata in the second. This time around it seemed to be Kaede Akamatsu. Naegi's heart ached. Kaede was such a sweet girl. She had bonded well with everyone.

Kokichi Ouma

Kokichi, not unlike Makoto Naegi, was also having a bad day. He had woken up from his nap to see the tree he was sleeping under was gone as well as the meadow. He frowned but rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. He looked around to observe his surroundings. There was an LCD blackboard screen at the front of the room. Kokichi could recognize one anywhere. It is what Kokichi and the other members of DICE used when planning their next prank on the headma-. . . Oh, he thought, I would guess that whoever put us here took some memories of ours. I can't remember how the hell I got here, after all. I can't recall who the headmaster is, but I know that I went to Hope's Peak Academy. I don't even know how they got me here, but I guess that taking a nap out in the open isn't exactly a good idea.

Kokichi continued to scan the room looking for anything out of the ordinary when he laid his eyes on it. How much time has passed? Last I heard, robots of this kind are incredibly expensive. But then again, this place is incredibly run down. Whoever runs this so-called "school" is incompetent. But it makes me wonder if the robot has an AI to go with i- Wait. Does it have a dick? Ooohh I want to touch the robot! Kokichi stood up from the desk and stretched. He felt his back pop a little and sighed. That felt so good. He cracked his knuckles and took a step towards the robot. That was when he heard it,

"K1-B0 Program processing changes made." Kokichi blinked. Did that come from the robot? "K1-B0 Program searching for viruses." I think it did "K1-B0 Program has found no viruses." I should find a weapon or something in case it attacks me. I have no clue what weapons are included on the robot. "K1-B0 Program turning on." I was too late to grab a weapon. The pocket knife I usually carry on me isn't there which is unusual. That was when Kokichi heard a voice,

"Excuse me but are you alright? My sensors find nothing wrong with you but I needed to check with you." Kokichi jumped. So it does have a functional AI. I wonder how it works.

"Nishishishishishishi. Of course, I am fine. Are you really a robot?" The robot jumped, "Ah- Yes, I am a robot. My name is K1-B0 but you can call me Keebo."
