A poem based on the time one of my traded pokemon leveled up past the level threshold for the number of badges I had and started disobeying orders.

If you saw me now

Would you see a friend?

A freak? A little baby?

If you took me out

Would it be for us to play

Or is there a 'mon for me to stave?

If I battled them now

Do you think I could lose?

This power says "No,

I'd bring you all woe".

If I grew up now

Would my trainer be happy?

('Cause my moves aren't so snappy)

If growing up is maturing,

Why am I back?

Am I back! To the terrible twos?

I just needed some air

Some time, and a snooze.

Your battle can wait.

You know I won't lose.

If you saw me now

Would you see a betrayal?

We were once best of friends.

But you're just an old trend.

Friendship's limits have no end.

Might've been good enough

To handle my power

But more only managed to

Make things go sour

I'm not feeble as a flower

I'm on top of the world

My strength now unfurled

If you saw me now,

Would you see a secession?

I know I was rude,

My actions worse in succession.

But can you give me a chance?

There's no need for PC.

Your newfound skill gives you respectability.

Yes yes, I see the err,

The flaw in my ways,

Put down that phone,
