Gino smiled as he pounced on his older brother and let out an adorable 'Ve-Meow' that meant more than what a first glance might see.

He loved his older brother and perhaps his exclamation of love wasn't much, but it truly was needed whenever things seemed quite difficult as he played and bounced around with his brother shortly after.

They were alone other than each other as they marched on through rain and the difficulties of being street cats.

There still was something nearly magical in sharing food even if it wasn't a fancy and delectable treat.

Gino loved the way little Roma as the closest thing to an owner of them had called the slightly older feline once.

He smiled as he playfully swatted at Roma's paws.

The younger of the two had always looked up to and admired Roma, and the feeling had only grown by the time they had gotten older and were forced to leave the one place that reminded them of their mother that had soothed their initial fears and yet was also a fierce cat if one were to tick her off.

Gino had followed his brother's lead that day after having not seen their mother for three days, and Roma knew enough to realize that they needed to move on before they starved.

It was only a matter of weeks from then on when they would meet the man that offered them morsels of meat and some milk and spoke to them so kindly.

He named Roma though he wasn't one who could care for two cats and so they'd have to leave his loving care and the safety of his barn.

Gino watched his brother as they curled up, soft and warm, as the night was rather nice here.

The alleyway that they were resting in wasn't much, but it was decently clean.

He smiled up at his older brother as they huddled close and thrilled over the steady sounds of Roma's breath in his ear.

They only really had each other for now and may be one day they'd have owners though they knew beyond all doubt that regardless of whether they were adopted that they'd still remain closer to each other than any human or animal that they'd meet.
