Whispering Tongues Can Poison Truth

It felt like it always had. There wasn't anything new about it, really.

He remembered the first time he'd seen her, she had looked so lovely.

Her black curls dancing on her back as she slowly walked towards him. Their eyes had met for a second, grey and green.

That had been the best second in his life.

Before he knew it she was gone, and the loneliness was slowly taking over him once again.

Of course he had friends, he even had a brother in all but blood, but that wasn't enough.

He wanted more.

He wanted someone he could trust his heart to, just someone that would trust her heart to him. She was that someone he liked to believe.

She would be perfect.

The next day, when their eyes met for a second time he knew he was in love. He could keep on staring into her forest green eyes forever; they were the most beautiful ones he'd ever seen, and he'd seen quite a few.

He tried to find her between his classes, tried to catch another glimpse of her, without any luck. He even asked his friends about her, but no one knew anything about the green-eyed girl with big black curls.

It was as if he had imagined her all along. It had been too good to be true, after all.

But he saw her the third morning, but something was different when their eyes connected.

The kindness was gone in the green eyes, replaced with anger and frustration. If looks could kill, he'd been dead hundred times over again.

He got the feeling that she had found out something about him. Whispering tongues can poison truth, after all. She had looked hurt.

He once again tried to find her, and missed some of his classes, not really caring at the moment. But she had disappeared.

He never found out what he had done to the black haired angel. Her cold glares hunted him, and made him feel abandoned.

His soul had broken into millions of tiny pieces and he couldn't repair it, only she had the ability to do so. If only she could warm up his soul again with her glances. If only she could tell him what he'd done so he could fix it.

He would do anything for her – She with the stunning green eyes.

But he never saw his green-eyed girl again, never found her, and it felt like it always had; lonesome.
