Summary: One well known line, One highly unexpected reply. Starts in TLV and AUs it with a moment we'd have all loved to have had happen.
Erm...Weeeelll, What I meant was...
"And there's no one to stop you?"
"No."
"Oh, I wouldn't say that." A small feminine hand landed on his shoulder and spun him around to face an absolutely furious Rose Tyler. And Rose did a very Tylerish thing...she slapped him, hard. "I didn't outlive your fucking clone and bust my ass to get home to find you pulling this kind of shit. What the bloody hell do you think you're doing, Doctor?" She looked over his shoulder at the older woman she didn't know. "You can relax ma'am. I've got him."
"Um, Rose...you um...slapped."
"Yes, I did..where are we parked?"
"Um."
"Stop whatever it is you've got going and get your bum back to the TARDIS. Shift!"
The older woman watched, a bit stunned as the young woman moved the Doctor to her satisfaction, scolding all the while.
"I can't believe you pulled a stunt like this...and no, I'm not going back not that you really have any right to kick me out of my own damned universe anyway. Dumbshit Time Lord. Don't irritate me, right now Doctor or you'll find out the hard way that 1. I am most certainly my mother's daughter and 2, Sexy likes me better than she does you. Got it? Do you have any idea how embarrassing it was to finally get back, finally locate you and then walk up when you were making this stupid little speech? Or how ashamed I am of you at this moment?"
He went absolutely white at that last remark. "Rose...I, uh..."
"Now, you and I will fix whatever is going on and then you and I are going to go sit in the vortex and have ourselves a nice long chat. We might be there for years." She held out her hand. "Well? Give it over then." He took the hand she offered, trembling.
"Rose?"
"First, we fix this situation, then I'll fix you. You are my Doctor and I will not forsake you. Doesn't mean I'll put up with your crap, though."
He looked over at the woman he'd just terrified and she was looking back at him in amusement at the predicament he was in. "I'm sorry. I get a little crazy when Rose isn't around. Found that out when I thought I'd lost her forever. I can be rather stupid."
"Need a leash, you do." He heard his little pink and yellow human mutter. "You gonna stand there and chatter or tell me what we need to be doing?"
He squeezed the beloved hand and began to explain as he lead her along, feeling remarkably sane. They could do this now, he had the right person with him again. He was going to have to work off that feeling of deep shame she'd made damned sure that he felt when he understood that Rose had seen and heard what he'd been doing. And he hated knowing she was rightfully ashamed too...of him. But, they'd work it out and it would be alright.
