Disclaimer: I own nothing and am making no profit from this story except the enjoyment of having written my very first Gossip Girl fic!

Author's Note: I wandered onto last night and began reading Gossip Girl fics on my cell phone… Two in particular inspired me and after spending a few hours with other's stories I decided to try my hand at my own. Hopefully I did my favorite couple justice!

Summary: Their relationship, if you could even call it that, had caused nothing but drama and heartbreak for both of them since the very beginning, and she had truly believed that ending things would end the heartache.

She had been wrong, so wrong.

Pairing: Chuck/Blair (is there any other, really?)

Timeline: Set after the ending of Gone With the Will.

Title: Wrong

"Chuck…" Blair's eyes filled with tears as she took in the sight of his disheveled appearance. His eyes were bloodshot and his hair was a disaster, looking as though it hadn't seen shampoo or a brush in a long while.

"I'm sorry… but I'm done."

It had been one month since Blair had forced herself to say those harsh words; to break his heart even as her own had begged her not to do it. But she had ignored her heart, believing that she was doing what was best for both her and Chuck. Their relationship, if you could even call it that, had caused nothing but drama and heartbreak for both of them since the very beginning, and she had truly believed that ending things would end the heartache.

She had been wrong, so wrong.

By the time she reached this conclusion, it had been approximately one week and three days, and Chuck had disappeared from the face of the earth—or the face of the Upper East Side, at least. Even Gossip Girl hadn't been able to provide a clue to his whereabouts. Blair was inconsolable for the following weeks—at least the last time he had disappeared, she'd been able to send Jack after him. This time she didn't have any help.

And now, just as she had given up any hope that she would ever see him again, here he was. She had heard the elevator opening and come downstairs with a fake smile that had been replaced with a look of shock when she saw him.

The moment after she said his name seemed to stretch on forever. She knew that he was frozen by the fear that she would reject him again and she was frozen in place by the shock of seeing him again.

"Blair," Chuck broke the silence with a hoarse voice, and the spell was broken. They closed the distance between them in seconds and Blair held him close, gently stroking his hair.

Without a word she pulled away and took his hand, leading him into the living room. They sat on the couch, and Blair pulled his hand into her lap, covering it with her other hand as well.

Words weren't necessary at this point in time… Blair and Chuck were content to simply sit and bask in the familiar comfort of each other's company as they tried to sort through their thoughts and determine what needed to be said when the time was right.

That was just their way.

Spotted: A very disheveled Chuck Bass and a glowing Blair Waldorf leaving the Waldorf penthouse hand in hand. Don't you just love happy endings—or in this case, happy beginnings?

You know you love me…

XOXO
