The air whipped my loose clothes tight, my hair was flying in all different directions and the other two hippies were trying to pull me inside but I just swatted them away with out looking. The city passed next to me almost blurring into a running paint and I could think of what the blue bird I saw only once when I was a little girl; when Erudite had another less than educated moment and tried to make life.
"Make a bird and I'll fly too.. don't care where-"
"Oi, pest!" A dark haired boy dressed in black pushed through the crowd of transfers, stopping over a foot away from me and smirking. "Why don't I push you out and you can scramble your tight little ass back to Amity where you can sing all you like."
I looked at him the whole time he talked, staring into his muddy eyes as the wind whipped around me before jumping back into the train and walking up to him whilst all the transfers now quieted down.
"I plan on getting off this train soon, don't worry. Here, take this," I took my oversized red jumper off and threw it in his chest, "You'll need that to fit in with the Factionless."
Not wasting time and waiting for his sure and angry reaction, I whipped my head around to look out the door and ran out. Flying through the air I could hear some of the others shouting and cries of disbelieve but it didn't matter.
Nothing mattered, I was flying.
Flying like a bird, however short lived it was, it felt free.
