In a little port on the outskirts of town
A young girl stands alone.
It was one month since Sonic disappeared in an explosion after defeating Doctor Eggman, and Amy Rose was on the beach wishing for him to come back like she did every sunset.
By this sea, there existed
An old tradition from long before
Noticing Amy's sadness, her friend Blaze came up beside her and asked,
"Sonic again?" Amy nodded. "Write your wish on a piece of parchment
And place it in a little bottle.
If you let it flow with the sea, someday
Your wish will come true"
"In my hometown," Blaze said, "there's a tradition that they say will make your wishes come true."
"Really?"
"Yes. Do you want to try it?"
"Of course."
Amy wrote down her wish and put it in a bottle. At twilight, it reached the horizon on the sea. Flow along, little glass bottle.

On the other side of the horizon
There, it quietly disappears.
They did this every night, Blaze always helping Amy get her message in the bottle. Her wishes were directed to Sonic, and some seemed more like letters. You always did everything for my sake
All that I wanted, and yet...
Amy talked with Blaze about how Sonic had helped each of them. Amy was mostly rescued, but Blaze fought alongside Sonic many times.
I was always so selfish
And troublesome to you.
Amy almost smiled as she remembered how she had run after Sonic on several occasions, yelling,
"Please be my girlfriend Sonikku!" You, who grants my wishes
Are no longer here
Will my thoughts, on this sea
Arrive at their destination?
"Are you sure that this will work?" Amy asked Blaze as they sat watching the moon rise.
"Well my parents always said that it would take time for any wish to come true" Flow along, little wish

When I realized my mistakes
It was always after everything was already over
Amy had been there when he'd disappeared. She remembered him telling her to run. She'd obliged, running as fast as she could. When she looked back, everything was reduced to ashes. Tails had tried to comfort her, but she would only feel better on Sonic came back, no matter what anyone did for her. She snapped out of her memories and realized that Blaze was offering her a tissue. She was crying. Flow along, little glass bottle

Blaze had to go home to check on the Sol Emeralds. She gave Amy lots of bottles, knowing that she would put them to good use. Blaze had to leave at dusk, so there was time to send one last bottle together. As Blaze left, Amy wrote the wish on her last paper. "If we were to be reborn…" Flow along, little wish

"If we were to be reborn..."
She'd only gotten that far when a familiar voice said,
"We don't need to be reborn, Ames."
Sonic had come back.
