Lincoln came out of the bathroom, fully prepared for the day as he turned to you, the reader.
"When you live in a family as big as mine, it's simply bound to happen that you'll end up having to brawl with your siblings to get dips on things." he said. "Sometimes, however, we come to a compromise. Today I'll race my sisters for the cookie jar downstairs at the kitchen, whoever reaches it first gets it and-"
However, once he got to the part of the race, he only saw Lana, Lola and Lisa at the starting line, with. "Wait, I thought I was supposed to race with all of you?" Lincoln questioned.
"You were, but according to Lisa, something called factors made us the only ones to race," Lana answered.
Lincoln raised an eyebrow. "What factors?"
Lisa adjusted her glasses as she explained. "Lori's too busy talking with her boyfriend, Lily's too young to eat the cookies correctly, Luan is the referee and thus can't compete herself, Luna is busy in her room, Leni doesn't even know what a cookie is and Lucy is nowhere to be found."
"I'm here." Lucy blurted, revealing she was literally behind Lincoln the entire time.
The rest, understandably, jumped startled. "Okay, so Lucy will compete as well." Lincoln remarked as Luan arrived with a toy gun. "Luan! Great, now we can start the race! Everybody to the line!"
So Lisa, Lola, Lana, Lincoln and eventually Lucy went to the starting line and got ready to race...except for Lucy, who didn't even bother. "One, two, three, four..." Luan slowly counted before shooting her toy gun, which released a banner reading "bang" in it. "Go! Get it?"
And so, the racing louds immediately ran as fast as they could downstairs...again, except for Lucy, who remained at the starting line.
"Uh, Lucy, you're supposed to run now," Luan explained. Lucy still didn't move. "As in, you must actually move to the finish line if you want the cookies? That's, kinda the point."
The goth girl started to walk to try and catch up with her siblings. "That's walking, not running, but I'll let it rock and stroll!" Luan giggled as Lucy went downstairs and Luna popped up. "Get it?"
"No." Lucy replied.
"Nuh uh." Luna added, though Luan didn't seem to notice her.
"Me neither!" Luan added with a chuckle, cheerfully as ever.
Back at the race, Lincoln, Lana and Lola struggled to go down on their own while Lisa took the chance to slide down the staircase's handle...only to end up jumping off and landing onto the couch. "Ouch," she muttered as Linc, Lana and Lola continued to race.
It wasn't long before Lincoln got off Lana and Lola, but the pair pulled off their tricks to try and get him to slow down or stop: Lana pulled out some mud cakes and threw them at the boy, and Lola pulled off her mirror and positioned it so the light would reflect on Linc's eyes.
Lincoln, however, simply dodged the mud cakes and threw one back at the girls just as the lights hit his eyes and caused him to crash on the wall.
The mud cake landed on Lola's face. "Mud!" she screeched before running away. "It burns! It burns!"
And so, with Lana as the only remaining Loud on the race, she victoriously reached the cookie jar and won the race. As the remaining Louds reunited with her, she opened the jar...and saw it was basically empty.
"Huh?! The jar's empty!" Lana whined.
"It's been empty since yesterday." Lucy blurted, revealing she was near Lincoln again...and holding a cookie.
After the shock from the scare wore off, the Louds quickly grew suspicious of the cookie Lucy was holding. "Where did you get that cookie, Lucy?" Lincoln inquired.
The girl hesitated before devouring the cookie and running away, with the remaining Louds giving chase...except Lisa, who analyzed the cookie jar and came to a conclusion:
"Oh, right, Lori took the cookies to her date with Bobby." and this quickly got her thinking: "Why didn't she just learned how to cook cookies, though?"
