"Hurry go open the door before they ring the bell, we don't want them to wake Scotland." Ireland said to his brother, Wales. Wales ran to the door and jerked it open just as America was about to push the doorbell. "Shit!" America proclaimed loudly, "You scared me bro," America said laughing. "Come in, come in," Wales whispered quickly looking back into the house and up the staircase behind him. England and America entered the house a little perplexed at Wales' behavior.

"Come on, in the kitchen," Wales whispered hurrying forward. The two nations followed the other warily. As they entered the kitchen Ireland stood up from his chair at the kitchen table and greeted them. "England, America, I'm glad you guys are here," he said. "Okay so now that we're here please explain why it was so urgent," England remarked with a sigh, "You know Scotland and America don't get along so I'd like to leave as soon as possible.

"But that's just it, the problem is with Scotland," Wales exclaimed. "Why? What's wrong with him?" England asked slowly. "He's acting really odd," Ireland stated. America rolled his eyes and said "You mean more so than usual." "America, please," England interrupted, "go on explain." "I don't know quite what to tell you," Wales said, "he's just not acting like himself." "What has he done?" England asked. "It's hard to explain," Ireland began, "just stay for awhile and you'll see for yourself."

"I don't think that's such a great idea," England said worriedly glancing in Alfred's direction.

"Don't worry babe, I'll behave myself…scouts honor," said America crossing his heart and holding up two of his fingers in a salute toward him. "Fine," England said as he caved in. "But if he starts something all bets are off and we're out of here," he said sternly to his brothers.

Then the kitchen door swung open and Alabama walked in, spying her country and friend sitting at the kitchen table she squealed and ran towards them. "America, England! When did you guys get here? I didn't even hear the doorbell!" she said as she hugged each country in turn. "Bama! It's good to see you have you been having fun touring the British Isles?" America asked. "Oh you bet! I've been to see most of the castles. They are fabulous…oh and Alfred….almost every one of them are haunted!" she whispered conspiratorially. "Better you than me!" America whispered back. That brought a round of laughter from everybody.

The kitchen door swung violently open and in stepped 'the red headed demon' as America calls him. He looked around the room noticing the two new visitors and stared for a moment. "America, England," he said in acknowledgement before heading for the coffee pot. Everyone at the kitchen table exchanged looks of disbelief as Scotland continued making his coffee.

"Morning Scots!" Alabama said cheerfully. "Uhn," he grunted in between sips of his coffee. Then Scotland took a seat at the island bar and picked up the morning paper that had been lying there. Again, looks of confusion rounded the table. Alabama not noticing the unsaid communication going on turned toward Ireland. "So, Irish will you jog with me this morning?" "What?" he responded. "I thought you were going to that gym in town." "I was until that one asshole wouldn't leave me alone." "What asshole?" came a groggy voice from behind them.

She turned to face Scotland. "Some guy, he just thinks I'm playing hard to get when I tell him to get lost." "Why don't you just kick him in the balls?" Scotland deadpanned. "Well I did," she responded, "but unfortunately in Neanderthal that means we're now engaged." she said with a slight grin.

At that unfortunate moment the 'red headed demon' had a mouth full of coffee which he proceeded to spew across the counter as he began to laugh further stunning the crowd at the kitchen table.
