I finally got back to this story, didn't change the prologue not a whole lot. Pretty bored and not getting lots of reviews, even though I've been getting lots of views. I'm hoping that posting more of my story ideas will get more reviews.

Darkness. Cold, damp, hungry darkness. Swallowed my mind, body and soul in one gulp, left me completely lost in a void of nothingness. No point of return in sight but further darkness, that was all that I knew at the beginning of my journey. When I raced away from my destroyed home and the brutal onslaught from the vicious soldiers of Galbatorix, racing towards the shadowy shelter of the Beor Mountains in hopes of escape and safety.

I knew that I needed to follow to my Aunts orders, especially when she implanted the very thought into my mind with her magic, replaying the directions through dreams. Escaping into the forest at the foot of the mountains when the village was in peril. Nobody was a match for the military attack on the town, not even the training with my Aunt prepared for the attack.

What I didn't know was, that I would be glad more than glad. Grateful actually, for running away so I could live to see another day and seek revenge, the town being destroyed for now good reason. Wandering aimlessly, searching for some source of safety that my Aunt MUST have set up in the woods.

What I don't know is that even now, when I am writing in my journal, in the middle of a ton humans, elves, dwarves and even the hateful Urgals, is if this new life is a blessing or a curse. Always being stuck in between nature or society, too never be completely comfortable with humans and yet to never be one with nature.

But what I am grateful for is my closest friend and guardian, two entirely different entities, being at my side to make sure that I won't do anything stupid and my wonderful teacher, who taught me all about my lost heritage and knowledge so ancient that it even predates the Ancient Language.

Not to confuse you now with all of my selfish babble that won't make any sense to you know but trust me...it will. I guess I should start at the beginning so that way you will know my story, Jay Grayson, from the wonderful land of Alagaesia and the now advancing battle against Galbatorix with the Varden, as their Dragon Rider, Eragon Shadeslayer, returned from his training with the elves.
