I was told to give this to Lyra…
He waited patiently. He had actually been waiting since noon. It was now late afternoon, and she hadn't come to claim her package. It was boring standing here in the Pokémart, speaking to no one, never being spoken to.
She has to come here sometime.
He kept waiting. He waited for about a month, since the Pokémart never closed. All that time, everyone kept up their regular-as-clockwork movements, or lack thereof. He hadn't slept or ate or drank all that time, just to do his duty, and that one little girl he was seeking wasn't showing up. He had been told that this box was of the utmost importance, and yet he, who would stand in the Pokémart until the end of time for the box's recipient, would never know what it contained.
Finally, he could stand the restless curiosity no longer, and opened the box.
Inside lay a baby Mew.
His eyes widened. Important, no kidding.
Screw it. I've waited long enough. I'm keeping this.
He walked out the door.
