The halls of the Star Destroyer weren't warm, not really, but they were better than the cold of Geonosis' moon he'd spent the night on.
"Admiral Konstantine." He limped up to the Admiral, expecting…well, something.
"Agent Kallus." The Admiral didn't even look up. Did he even know that Kallus had been missing?
An odd pang went through Kallus. As he limped back to his quarters, Kallus recalled how Zeb's face had lit up upon seeing his friend's ship. How they had bounded out of the ship, immediately asking if he was alright.
He sat heavily on his bed, the glowing rock from the moon placed next to his bed.
Kallus sighed as his leg twinged in pain. He wasn't sure, exactly, what he had been expecting upon his return, but…it seemed like no one had noticed his absence. If he had died on that moon, would anyone have noticed? Would he have just been replaced?
"Chase the answers and maybe you'll learn the truth."
Maybe it was time for him to start asking questions.
Kallus pulled out his personal datapad.
'Query: Geonosis.'
