Subconscious Apology
Ben recalled the heated argument with his Grandfather a few hours ago. He recalled his Grandfather's anger at Ben showing off while battling enemies. He acted arrogant without realizing it. He showed off in front of a large gathering of female fans. He didn't mean to cause trouble, but his showing off had damaged many stores in Undertown.
His Grandfathered scolded him harshly and warned him not to abuse his powers. He forced him to work to pay for all the damages.
Ben spent several grueling hours at Pakmar's store attempting to work off his debt. Ben was furious. The longer he worked, the more he became annoyed with his Grandfather's scolding. He called on the phone and Ben argued with him and told him to BUTT OUT of his business. His Grandfather told him he might regret those words. He hung up the phone.
Several hours later, Ben fell asleep from exhaustion. His Grandfather appeared to him in his dream. Ben felt ashamed of his previous actions and asked for his Grandfather's forgiveness.
"Of course, Ben. I know you don't mean it," Grandpa Max said. "Being a hero is hard. You're under a lot of pressure." He reached out his arms for Ben to hug him.
"Thanks, Grandpa Max," Ben said while hugging his Grandfather. "I'm sorry we had that fight."
"Me too," Ben's Grandfather said before the dream vanished when Ben woke up.
A few minutes earlier, Ben's Grandfather had died from a heart attack.
