Obsession (Misa's fixation)
Misa was in love with Light Yagami. There was no doubting this. She'd never love anyone else as much as she loved her Light-kun. However, someone else had caught her attention. Not in love, but fixation. It was a fascination, borderline obsession.
The first thing she noticed about him was his eyes. They were cold like black marble, but once you looked, you couldn't look away. His words were sweet like the strawberries he indulged on. Sweet, but with that sharp edge. He was different. Enthralling. Unique. Utterly captivating. He rarely spoke to the young model but whenever he did it made her mind race. His words would echo through her bones for days on end.
"I could fall for you, you know."
His words thrilled and excited her, but his cold eyes didn't say the same thing. Misa couldn't see any true feeling in his eyes. She started to wonder if this enigma had emotions at all. The more time she spent in his company, the more her interst in him grew, until it became an obsession. Then the obsession grew into something more. It became longing for L. Once the object of her fascination died, she clung to Light. Kira reminded the model of L. They had the same eyes. Cold. Calculating. Emotionless. Lying.
After the loss of Light, Misa sank into depression. When she committed suicide, she did not do so because of the loss of Light Yagami, but the loss of her obsession. She had no-one left to remind her of him. She had no L Lawliet.
