"Dear Mr Fredrickson,

We – grudgingly – accept the fact that we had to sacrifice multiple Saturdays in detention for whatever it is we did wrong.

But we think you're crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. We know who we are – we're a pretty mismatched group of friends but we're really more like a family – Angel Grove's own screwed-up, somewhat-reversed version of The Breakfast Club.

You see us as you want to see us, in the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions.

But what we found out is that each of us is a brain,

and an athlete,

and a basket case,

and a princess,

and a loner,

and a criminal.

And none of us are just those lame stereotypes you've so kindly gifted us with, not that you're ever going to notice because your head is shoved up your ass. It doesn't mean we're going to stay the same for the rest of our lives. Are you jealous? You can't change who you are but we can and we're going to – together, as our own unique Breakfast Club.

It better. Because I've spent the last fifteen minutes copying Brian Johnson's letter – and adding my own personal flair to it – and I've got better shit to do than this.
