Summary: Wu Dao wanted to walk the earth with Yu Die for the rest of his life. So, his wish was granted.

Butterflies
The goddess looked upon the ones who repaired the Demon Vase and restored peace to the land. She spoke to each of them. When her eyes landed on the dragon demon, Wu Dao, she didn't need to ask him what he wanted.
"I just want to walk the world with Yu Die."
She nodded.
Just beyond the door, she spotted a fluttering butterfly. The creature drifted in the same place as if it was waiting for one of the heroes.
A small smile cracked her lips. "Then it shall be."
Wu Dao took his friend, Jui Gui, to the side of the room and gave him his kingdom. "I trust you will be a good ruler, Jui Gui. May your reign be blessed."
Jui Gui shook his head. "No. I could go with you and Yu Die."
The expression on the young man's face softened. "You're the only one I trust with this."
It took a few more seconds of defiance before Jui Gui nodded and gave in, sparing his friend a lonely grin. "Be safe, my liege. Take care of yourself and Yu Die."
"I will." He pressed his lips together to keep from saying more and gave his brother, Wen Tian, a slight wave before turning and heading outside. Half way down the steps, the butterfly was by his shoulder. "Hello, Yu Die."
Looking out at the wide world, he couldn't help but relax and beam at the colorful pair of wings.
"Wu Dao."
He stopped and looked up. "What is it, goddess?"
"I find that you deserve more. So does Yu Die. So I will grant you one more wish. Close your eyes."
He frowned but did as he was told.
The sound of the butterfly's flapping wings vanished.
"Open."
When he did, she was gone.
Instead, Yu Die was standing before him looking like she did the night she appeared over her grave.
"Yu Die?" He reached out to touch her soul and found warmth coming from her. "Is it…?" Tears began welling up in his eyes. "I'm sorry I couldn't save you. I love you, Yu Die."
She smiled and grabbed his hands. "I love you too. I'm glad I finally get to say that." She glanced over her shoulder and began pulling on him. "Let's go. We have a whole world to explore. You promised."
His tears turned to happiness and he squeezed her hand. "Then let's go. Anywhere you want. As long as I'm with you."
Yu Die and Wu Dao walked side by side, shoulder to shoulder, watching the butterflies about their heads as they entered into this new journey together.

Hey! I'm so sorry about not posting anything as of late. Sorry! I've been so busy with work and I'm trying to set everything up so I can go to school soon. I'm also working on two other projects for the site so get ready.
This is how I wished things would have ended with Wu Dao and Yu Die. I'm good with how their story line was left, but I wanted something like to have happened. I think the show was going to have a second season, but I don't know.
Oh! The show is The Holy Pearl. I really recommend it.
