Sunburn.

The worst part, he thinks, is when it starts to peel.

It's no-where near as painful as when he first gets it, and not quite as unsightly as the few times it has scabbed over, leaving him with something with a texture more resembling scales than normal human skin; but there is something about the peeling that makes him sick to his stomach. He can't help but pick at it, you see, and when the dead cells peel off in sheets the sensation is surprisingly not painful, and rather disturbing because of it.

Sometimes, he really hates having pale skin.
