How Pokémon Came To Be
Disclaimer: I do not own anything mentioned in this story, I simply reorganized elements to suit my own nefarious purposes.
Author's note: This is mostly based on Greek mythology.
Arceus was the first ever Pokémon. It is seen (without trying to be religious or anything) as the god of all Pokémon. So then, using existing mythology, Arceus created Mew. Mew is the ancestor of all Pokémon. Arceus and Mew then "got together" and made the legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia
Now that Dialga and Palkia had been created, they created time and space, respectively. Arceus, being an almighty kind of guy, created a planet. Meanwhile, Dialga and Palkia "got together" and created the other legendary Pokémon, who are too numerous to mention.
Author's note: Listing all the legendary Pokémon would be as tedious, lengthy, and pointless as listing every Greek god or goddess.
So now we have a planet and a large number of other legendary Pokémon. Clearly, all of the other Pokémon we know and love today evolved from some kind of Magikarp-like n00b Pokémon. Once the planet was completely populated by Pokémon, humans evolved. Considering how stupid Ash Ketchum is, humans must have evolved from some kind of prehistoric slug-like Pokémon.
