Who's that girl staring back at me?
The pain etched in her face,the hatred in her eyes.
Is that me?
No that's the look of failure…hurt, guilt ,someone ,someone to be ashamed of…
The girl I used to be.
Thunder rolls, lightning crackles and he appears…Slade
My oppressors, the only family I ever had.
The one who made feel as if I had something.
What I thought was love was control and what I thought was wrong.
Those nights of screaming in my sleep are over.
The detachment is fading too.
No more loneliness, no more shame, no more guilt!
I can have my strength back, I'm free from my chains, now someone can love me once again….
