"We all know you like her." Cam Fisher said.
"I do not like Massie Block." I denied whole heartedly, but he could read right through my horrible attempt at lying. Honestly, what's not to like about Massie? Her eyes, her perfect hair, the way she cocks her perfectly arched eyebrow when you say something that challengers her. I could go on forever.
"Fine. Let's play truth or dare. Derrick, truth or dare? Ok, dare it is." Kemp Hurley said.
"What? I didn't even get to pick." I stated. I would've definitely picked truth, since I knew where this was going.
"Go ask out Massie." Kemp said cockily. Oh god, my heart began to race. Everyone knows I never ever turn down a dare. Even when I was dared to come to school in a Speedo, I did it. Even though I got suspended for two days.
I didn't even say anything to them I just looked a Cam, and got up and walked toward Massie and her tight knit group of friends.
There was Alicia. The gorgeous one, she could get any gut she wanted. Kristin, the star soccer player for the Tomahawks and future valedictorian. There was Dylan the one who was always dieting even though she was super thin. Claire, the transfer from Florida who didn't seem like she belonged in the group. And the leader of them all? Massie Block.
When I got to the table I got a glare that would've made someone in prison scared. "What do you want?" Alicia hissed.
"Um, I was wondering if I could talk to Massie." I replied sheepishly.
"Whatever you have to say, you can say in front of my friends." Massie snapped.
"Uh, ok. Massie, will you go out with me?" After I said this thoughts started racing through my head. What if she says no? What if she laughs in my face?
I suppose life would be much better without what if questions.
"Yeah." And I thought my mind was racing before. Boy was I wrong.
