Chapter 1: Problems

Aomine Daiki is part of the Generation of Miracles at Teiko Middle School. He has been depressed lately. More than usual.

Aomine is sitting in his room one night, staring at a small item in his hand. This should help me solve my problems, right? Aomine thought, bringing the small item identified as a blade, to his wrist.

He presses the blade to his skin and pulls, creating a cut. One, two, three, four, he kept cutting his wrists. He ended up with a total of 9 cuts on each wrist. When he decided he had enough, he stared at his bleeding wrists, not doing a thing to stop the bleeding.

He enjoyed the scene he saw. Blood running down his arm, making a nice red tint on his skin in the darkness. The only light was the moonlight, flooding in through the window.

He let the cuts stop bleeding by themselves, not bothering to bandage them up. He fell asleep almost immediately after the cuts stopped bleeding, but he also did feel lightheaded.

The next morning.

Aomine woke up to an annoying alarm clock, reminding him he had school.

"Ugh. . ." He rolled himself off his bed, landing on the floor with a thud. He then picked himself up and he saw the dried blood caked on his arm.

He calmly walked to the bathroom to wash the blood off. He grabs a small towel and dampens it then lightly presses it against his arm. Aomine winces as he dabs the towel over the new cuts.

After he's done cleaning up, he goes back to his room and puts his uniform on. Instead of having his sleeves pulled up, he kept them down, even though it was hot.

As Aomine walked into school, he kept his eyes down, looking at the ground as he walked.

"Hello, Aomine-kun."

"Hmm?" Aomine looks at his shadow, Kuroko Tetsuya. "Oh hey. . ."

"You seem pale, are you feeling okay?"

"I'm feeling fine, Tetsu. No need to worry."

"You're wearing your sleeves down."

"Tetsu, I'm fine." Aomine looks back down at the ground. "I'm going to class." As soon as he starts walking, Kuroko shoots his hand out and grabs Aomine's wrist.

"Aomine-kun, please tell me whats wrong. You're acting strange. You're going to class when normally you go chill out on the roof, and you're pale, too. Wearing your sleeves down when its hot. . . Please tell me Aomine-kun."

"Let go of my wrist, please Tetsu. . ."

Kuroko lets go of Aomine's wrist slowly. "Aomi-" Kuroko doesn't finish his sentence before Aomine runs away from him. "-ne-kun. . ." His eyes follow Aomine and Kuroko decides to follow, so he quickly runs after Aomine.
