Hey minna!~ it's me, MagicalGirl-Natsu!~ I'm back again with my first story that I'm rewriting, "Why Gray?" I know I haven't updated in a long time, but I will work on getting done faster. I do have summer school this summer but, don't worry I'll still try to update!~ Well here is the first chapter. Please tell me if you like this writing style better or the other one, or tell me what you think I can improve on. This story is a bit AU because of some characters but I hope the way I wrote this chapter will help better with you're understanding of what I'm trying to get across.

It's been one year and three months... Since I found out about what Gray was doing behind my back.. I remember the first time I had found out about it.. It was the day of the summer festival, we were supposed to go together. Gray had promised me that we would go play those cheesy couple games I like.. Every time I think about I can't help but smile.

"Gray!~" The pinkette yelled cheerfully as he walked over to the raven, who was sitting upon the couch reading the news paper. "Hmm?" Gray muttered as he continued to read. Natsu made some sort of girly giggle as he wrapped his arms around the taller, more masculine boy's neck. "You ready to go? I really, really, really!~ Want to go play those games." Gray's once serious face had formed a soft smile. "Now yet, I still have to go get a couple things. So, I'll meet you at the guild okay?" Natsu's once cheerfully face darkened with a frown. "Ugh... Fine..." He sighed as he let go of the Ice-Make Mage. "I'll meet you at the guild then.." Gray then stood up and turned towards the smaller male. "Oh come on, Natsu.~ I won't be that long. I'll be there before you know it.~" Natsu gave a slight smile before answering. "Alright." As he finished his sentence he quietly left the house.

I waited at the guild for quite a while after he told me to.. Hours went by, and the once bright sky started to turn into a darker version of the beautiful colour royal blue.. I thought he might have been held up because of what he said he had to do.. But when the time came, Mira had left the guild, along with the rest of my Nakama.. And the festival had closed for the day.. I sighed in defeat, and decided to head over to Lucy's house.. But once I got there I saw something I didn't really want to ever see my best friend doing.. And my lover..

"Luce, you there?" Once Natsu waited a while and didn't hear a reply, he decided he needed to go check if everything was alright. He made his way over to where Lucy's window was and started to climb up the side of her house to get in. "Lushi?" He called to her once again, as he finally reached her window. He looked into the dark room, only seeing something a bit too much then he could handle. Upon Lucy's bed had been Lucy and his lover Gray.. Natsu's eyes widened in confusion and sadness. 'Gray...? Lucy...? W-what are you, doing...?' Natsu gulped as he watched the two touching every inch of each other's naked bodies. "Gray.~~~" Lucy purred which made Natsu sick to his stomach, but one thing didn't seem right to him. It was Lucy's voice.. It seemed oddly off.. "Oh, Gray.~ You spoil me.~" as Lucy continued to moan as Gray placed kisses along her collarbone, up her neck, and up along her jaw line. Natsu couldn't take it anymore.. His heart was breaking.. His mind a wreck.. He had to leave.. It was killing him, from the inside out as he watched his lover touch his best friend up, and down.. Kissing her... Making love to her... Everything he had once did to Natsu, he was now doing it to the blond Celestial Mage. He wanted to leave before this image fully burned into his eyes.. But he couldn't.. His body was stuck.. Stuck in time as the two he held close to his heart, broke him.. As he watched them do such crime, he hadn't noticed the fact he was crying, or the fact that something was off in the raven's eyes.. But Natsu hadn't cared at the moment for small things like that, all he cared about was running from such a horrid sight.

'Gray.. Why did you do it...?' Was all I had running through my mind as I closed my tear filled eyes and ran.. At the time I didn't know where I was running to.. Or how long I was planing on running for.. I just wanted out.. Out of the window of Lucy's house.. Out of Fiore.. Out of my body.. I wanted to just leave the pain behind.. I just wanted it... All to be fake.. Or at least... Me seeing someone else, but thinking it was Gray.. But no.. It was all to real.. Too real for me to handle.. Too real for my heart to take.. And deep down.. No matter how much, I tired to feel for some sort of control... It wasn't there.. I was getting an over whelming dark that was calling to me deep down in side.. And it scared me.. I.. I was losing... Losing to someone I had always knew that was always watching me..

As the pinkette laid quietly in a forest out around back of the Fairy Tail Guild, he cried silently. His eyes red and puffy as his cheek where pink with tear stains down them. His mind had already shut down, as his body fell num. He lost count of time, as he continued to laid upon the cold glass. Before he knew it, the sun was rising in the sky as birds sang their morning songs. "..." As their songs rang into Natsu's ears, he tightened his grip around his knees that were pulled up against his chest. It had been along time since he heard a noise.. After a silent night of himself thinking, it hurt to hear such a loud noise. "Natsu!" More noise.. Natsu didn't like it.. He liked laying there with no noise at all.. It would seem odd if I said this but.. At that moment, Natsu wished he could stay by himself forever.. "Natsu-San!" Another voice called, ringing in Natsu's ears making his head hurt. "Natsu!" Again... Another call.. "Salamander!" Why...? Why are they calling him..? Why are they looking for him, if he just wants to be alone...? "Natsu!" Foot steps that sounded like loud stomps across fragile sticks, filled the area around the boy. He wanted them to leave.. He wanted them to stop making noise.. He wanted them gone.. But wait.. Aren't they his Nakama he cares so much about? Why was he wanting all of these dark things to happen to them? Something was wrong.. And even Natsu knew it. Something was pulling him into the darkness.. And he for sure.. Didn't like it..

"Salamander!" The Iron Dragon of the Fairy Tail Guild yelled as he stepped through some bushes near the pinkette upon the ground. "Salamander! There you are, we've been looking for you. Hey, guys he's-" Natsu cut him off before he could continue. "Gajeel.." His voice raspy, as his throat seemed dry. Hearing the most up going person Gajeel has ever met like this made him kind of worry. Gajeel walked closer the the smaller male and sat down beside him. "Sala- I mean, Natsu. What's wrong?" Gajeel looked over at the boy who was curled up into the fetal position beside him. "Why do you ask...?" Gajeel flinched slightly as Natsu's raspy voice rang throughout his ears, which annoyed him greatly. "Why do you think? You're laying down in the middle of a forest, crying, and you're voice sounds like shit, which's hurting my ears." Normally Natsu would be jumping down Gajeel's throat when the older man insulted him, but even Gajeel could tell that he wasn't going to be the flaming ball of energy like he always was. "Go away..." Gajeel wasn't shocked on hearing Natsu say that, but the way he said it sounded like it came from someone else, and not Natsu.

"No." Gajeel replied. "Why do you want to stay here anyways..? I'm just boring.."Gajeel sighed as he softened his tone. "Natsu.. You're not boring.. You're actually really fun to be around.." Natsu turned his head towards the latter and asked, "Really...?" Which made Gajeel smile softly. "Yeah.. So tell me, what's wrong." Natsu sighed softly before turning his head away again. "It's Gray.. He's cheating on me.." Gajeel's face went from being happy to shocked. "What..?" Natsu sighed once again before getting out of his ball position and sitting up. "His cheating on me with Lucy.. I saw them having sex last night.." Gajeel closed his eyes thinking on how bad the pinkette must have felt the moment he saw it. "It.. It will be alright.. I'll deal with it." Natsu smiles slightly at the words Gajeel spoke. "R-really...? You promise...?" Gajeel nodded in reply, as the rest of the group that had gone looking for Natsu finally found them. "There you are. We've been looking for you everywhere." Erza, the red-head S-Class Mage of Fairy Tail, spoke as their team mates surrounded her. "Natsu-San.. You had us worried, once we heard you didn't come home last night from Happy we came running to look for you." Wendy the smallest of the group spoke. "Nachu!~" Happy yelled as he jumped into the pinkette's hands. Natsu smiled softly as he wrapped his arms around the small blue exceed as he rested his head upon him. "Natsu.." Gray began, "Why were you hiding out here?" Natsu didn't answer as he stood up Happy in his arms. "Let's go bck to the guild." With that said the pinkette left the group back where he first was, and headed back to the guild.

Gajeel.. I'm glad you were there for me.. Thank you..
