One warm summers day a guy decides to walk into a bar and order a whiskey, he isn't there long when she walks in. He gives her a small glance when she walks past him and takes a seat two seats down from him. Both sat in silence at the bar that is until she orders a cheeseburger. That's the second time he looks at her this time it's more than just a glance and he contemplates talking to her but he can see her staring in the distance but he isn't sure of what's caught her attention. He see's her look away and decides to speak.
He simply asks if she's alright down there and to both his surprise and relief she replies and in moments they click over their love for both English and their good taste in music. Before he knows it they're in the girls bathroom making out and it's the best he's felt since he found out there was a position for a teacher at Rosewood and that he had the job. They stayed like this for what felt like only seconds but in actual fact was almost an hour. She had told him she had to go and pick up her brother and they exchanged numbers.
That night as he laid on his couch watching a film he thought about her, he wondered if he'd see her again and if the excuse about picking up her brother was true or if she just wanted to get away from him. However his worries soon vanished as he received a text from her saying she had a lovely time and couldn't wait to do it again. That night he went to bed smiling and so did she.
The next day however, his first day as a teacher his smile suddenly vanishes when he sees her sat one row over by the window. A million thoughts and questions going through his mind. What is she doing here? This has to be a joke? She lied to me. Why did she lie to me? Once the class was over he sat at his desk astonished by his revelation. He's dragged out of his thoughts when he sees her standing at the door and he has to remind himself how wrong it would be to continue whatever it was, is that they have. She tries to convince him it's right that they're right and he has to walk away from her to stop himself from kissing her right there and then.
That night he lied awake thinking about her and what she had said. He thought about how right it felt until she was his student and how wrong the situation was but yet a part of his heart told him she was worth the risk.
English class with her was almost unbearable he often found himself staring at her when be shouldn't have been but he couldn't help it he was only human. A few day later he heard about Alison's funeral in the teachers lounge as well as hearing her name mentioned seconds after he couldn't make out what was being said about her but he knew it was her they were talking about.
After spending countless hours debating whether he should attend the funeral or not he decided he would. Even though he didn't know Alison he presumed Aria did. When he arrived she was already there at the top of the stairs staring out the window. He took the opportunity to talk to her.
He asked her if she knew Alison and apologised for being a jerk, she accepts his apology and said she didn't want to do anything that could get him into trouble. She places a gentle kiss on his left cheek and goes to walk away. In what he would class as a moment of stupidity or a strike of genius he turns holds her arm and spins her around and kisses her for all he's worth. It's no use she still walks away, and he just watch's her as she goes hoping that wasn't the last kiss they'll share.
