Disclamer: I do not own any of J.K. Rowlings work. I just like to play with it.
A/N: This is a sonnet that I did for my English class. It's about a mother's thoughts after watching her daughter die in her arms. The characters were inspired by J.K. Rowlings Harry Potter. The mother is Ginny Molly Potter and the daughter is Nymphie June Potter. Nymphie is my own creation. This takes place in my own Harry Potter AU fiction, which is not posted . My story is not yet complete but maybe someday when it is I will post it so if you like this keep me on author alert.
This takes place a few hours after the final battle on May 30th 2012. Ginny's youngest daughter, Nymphie, is murdered by Bellatrix LeStrange. Ginny kills Bellatrix in revenge but is too late to save Nymphie. These are her thoughts as she stares out at the Hogwart's lake. (Ginny can't really hear Nymphie but can feel her presence while her daughter speaks from heaven.)
Sorry for the ridiculously long author's note! Hope it clarifies any questions you might have.
Vanishing Starlight
Ginny:
1.She stabbed you in my arms on this day's date;
My helpless, useless arms which held you near.
But through my hate for her, I was to late
To save my little girl who I hold dear.
Nymphie:
5.Don't you cry, for I'm still with you Mommy;
Look to the sky Mommy, you'll see my there.
Mom don't be scared, for I am quite happy,
Father loves me and he gives me good care.
Ginny:
9.My sweet, sweet distant star, if only
Fate had giv'n us more time, for with times loss,
So was your radiance eternally.
And yet, my heart can feel your spirit's gloss.
Unison:
13.Now I stand here and I see your not gone,
Now you stand there and you see I'm not gone,
Unison:
14. My li'l distant star, shining through the dawn.
Your li'l distant star, shining through the dawn.
