Dear Readers,
MERRY CHRISTMAS! Now, I know people have written things about song before, but that doesn't matter, the plots are all slightly different. So I give you:
Soundless Voice
The night was gray and the city was silent. We walked through the cold, snow covered forest. I just wanted to go back to sleep, but Rin wanted to go outside while the snow was fresh and falling. At first I was against it because of her poor health, everyone assumes her time to go is soon, I don't want her to go! I would do anything for her, I love her, but I haven't told her, I intend to tonight.
The snow began to fall a little harder. Rin gazed up towards the gray sky and smiled. She was beaming with light that was warm. How can anything so beautiful be so fragile?
Rin started to hum. She opened her mouth to sing the words, her voice was faint, but it sounded like a bell. Her face then showed a look of shock and pain, the singing stopped and was replaced by a violent coughing fit.
'Rin!' I shouted and ran closer to her.
She put her hand up in reassurance that she was fine as the coughing subsided.
'See I knew this wasn't good for you! Let's go back home where it's warm and safe.'
She nodded.
I reached out my hand; she reached out to grab mine. I turned ready to walk away once her warm soft hand touched mine, but it didn't. I heard the crunch of snow behind me; I turned around and to my horror, so Rin's collapsed body on the snow.
'RIN!' I dropped on my knees by her side. 'It can't be!' I gently picked up her fragile-like-glass body; it lay limp in my arms. I placed her on my knees and leaned down and put my ear on her chest, I could hear no heartbeat. 'NOOOO!' I yell to the gray sky.
I placed her body back on the snow. 'Rin, tell me are you in pain?'
No response.
'Please, just call out my name, once more?!'
No response.
'Can I go to? To the place you've gone to?'
No response.
'You can't leave me here alone! You my other half! Let me hear your voice again, please!'
There was no response again as her voice remained Soundless. My tears fell on Rin's lifeless body; the snow fell harder it started to cover her.
'Please, grant me one wish, speak just once more and Call Out My Name.' I ask again. As the night remained silent, my tears still fell and I felt so alone. The snow continued to fall, but the world seemed to have stopped spinning and time itself stilled to a stop.
The snow feels like it burns as it touches the exposed flesh on my arms, neck and knees. The tears I cried stopped and I stared down at her angelic face. I give in to reality, her voice will not return, her smile will never grace her soft lips anymore.
'Please God, if you cannot grant my wish for her to speak, grant me this. Take my voice and give it to Rin. I'm alone, and in this moment, I want my final memory. To please fade away along with her.'
As I lay down next to her, I whisper in her ear: 'My only regret, my love, was that I never let those words escape my lips. But now I missed my chance and you'll be gone without a trace. Even if I scream you'll never hear, and now your voice will never flow within my ears.'
The snowflakes continued to fall; I hope they continue to fall on the earth for eternity.
(And my soundless voice is rising up toward the heavens too)
Take away all of me so that I can be with her.
(And it's painted white by the melting snow, and soon will be with you.)
Erase my Soundless Voice so that I can be closer to the one that I love.
(My last wish is for this to finish, and nothing will remain, not even my soul)
Please, grant my final wish.
Make the world white.
A/N: So this was my Christmas story. I based this on Soundless Voice English by CherryQ. Anyway hope you all have happy and safe holidays;
Yours Sincerely,
Loving New Dawn.
