Summary: Emma develops a friendship with someone she never thought possible.

Emma was standing in front of an aisle of cards staring at them looking for some sort of inspiration. She had spent the past ten minutes looking at cards for Mother's day. Never in her life had she thought that she would find her birth mother or father.

And what a shock it was when she found out that it was her best friend. The things they had shared with each other. They acted more like sisters than mother and daughter. That changed though when Emma broke the curse.

"Hmm," she thought out loud.

"Looking for anything in particular?" came an unfamiliar voice.

Emma turned to see a young woman smiling at her that she had never seen before. "I'm looking for a mother's day card for my mom," explained Emma.

"Oh well is she more of the humorous type or more serious?"

"To be honest I don't really know, I just found out who she was," admitted Emma as she thumbed through a couple of selections.

"You are lucky. I never met my mother, she passed away when I was a little girl," the woman replied reaching out to touch one of the cards, "I was raise by just my father. Crazy guy."

"I'm sorry to hear that."

Emma chuckled as she saw one of a baby chipmunk with really chubby cheeks saying Happy Mother's Day. "That one is cute," the woman smiled.

Emma felt a twinge of uncomfortableness and took a step away. "Sorry, I'm kind of new here and I don't have many friends," the woman looked crestfallen.

Emma felt sad for a moment and took a step forward to the woman. "No need to be sorry," Emma smiled as she put the cards back, "My name is Emma."

"Belle."

"How come I've never seen you before?"

"I was locked up in the asylum for no reason by that wicked woman Regina. All because I insulted her outfit one day."

"Damn is that woman crazy!"

Belle chuckled at Emma. "Belle?" came the familiar voice of Mr. Gold.

"Over here Rumple," she called.

"You are with him?" Emma whispered, "Be careful he's pretty dangerous."

"Ha! You are telling me. He is a dangerous man in the bedroom."

Emma turned bright pink at Belle's statement and wasn't really sure what to say. She now knew a snippet of Mr. Gold's wild sex life. She would never look at him the same way again. "Miss Swan," greeted Mr. Gold as he dragged Belle away.

"Wait, let's meet for coffee tomorrow!" called Belle to Emma.

"Okay be there around 3."

"See you then."

What was Emma getting herself into this time? She sighed as she continued to look at the cards. "Perfect!" she exclaimed as she found the perfect card.
